Best product to lighten dark red hair?

Right now my hair is kinda uneven...up towards my roots is my natural color mixed with a faded light red and the back of my hair is a dark red/burgundy color( was purple black and faded that way). I want to get my hair to a rich auburn. Is there anyway I can lighten the dark red hair in back so I can dye all of it a rich auburn color?

Which product is the best. I heard about Satin Color Reverse Hair Color Remover Kit and L'oreal Colorzap Color Remover Kit but I never used themor have any experience with them.Does anyone know what product would be the best?

Best product to lighten dark red hair?

Be careful. I would got to a salon that specializes in color/hil-ights. When you lighten hair, you strip color out. If you have too much red you'll always hit the "orange" stage. You'll probably do best just having some one cover the red up with a nice brown and put a few highlights through out to have the appearance of a lighter look. Good Luck!

Best product to lighten dark red hair?

Color removal is a big job, a professional job. You are wanting an even red tone at the end. You have at least 3 levels and different tones going on right now. You do not have the skill to do the application properly, including the complicated timing. A salon also has more options for color removal, some less harsh than others. Save yourself the tears and book a consultation with a good color correction specialist. They will tell you everything involved including time, cost and maintenance. Remember that red hair is also tough to maintain in the summer. Best of luck.

Is it advisable to use hair removers available in markets around ur birthmark(i.e between ur legs)..

Plz someone suggest a proper advise as soon as possible.I am awaiting ur reply...

Is it advisable to use hair removers available in markets around ur birthmark(i.e between ur legs)..?

Do you mean birthmarks like... moles and beauty marks--the little brown dots? Or did you mean between your legs as in around your genitalia? Either way, I think it's fine, but you'd want to be more careful around the genital area.

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

I have been dying my hair red for YEARS and I want to go back to my natural hair color. I have read all of the other answers about hair dye but it seems taht everyone wants to go from dark to light. My natural hair color is dark auburn brown and my coloured hair is a lighter coppery red-orange shade. If I use a remover, will my hair just get lighter or will it really go back to my natural darker color? And will it ruin my pretty curly texture? (I'm black with a mixed-race texture hair) And which kind should I use?

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

in order for you to understand this completely, i have to explain a few things first...

in order to make hair lighter, you have to remove pigment. so depending on how light you want to go will determine how much pigment you have to remove. you then have to ADD a COLOR depending on what you want the end result to be. After removing pigment to a level 6 (light brown/dark blonde), you're left with a red-orange color. now, depending on whether you love it, like it, or hate it, will then determine what tone you want to apply. if you love it, you choose a red-orange color to apply. if you like it, you choose a neutral color which will somewhat cover the redish tones but they will still show through a little. if you hate it, you have to apply a complimentary color (in this case, it would be a level 6 ash which has blue/grey tones). this will completely eliminate any red-orange tones. when you color your hair lighter with a regular color, it's doing both of these steps at the same time...lifting color out, and adding tone in.

now, if you were to apply a color remover, all its going to do is remove the color that was added, leaving you with the dominant pigment (at a level 6, remember that was red-orange). its not going to make your hair any darker, and it wont bring your natural color back. if you want to do this, you need to either let it grow out, or color it back to your natural. i would suggest going to a professional. also, a remover will definetly damage your hair, and the texture wont be the same.

again, i suggest going to a stylist, but the only thing you can do is dye it back to your natural. there is no way of removing your exsisting color completely.

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

there is a special laundry detergent that gets out hair die look on the web and you will find something about it

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

I would dye it the shade that is closest to your natural color. I would not strip the color out.

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

Color remover makes your hair a bright orange, so that you can dye it a different color. I recently used Loreal Feria in a color that was close to my natural color, and it worked very well!

Correct hair color?

my natural hair color is med. to dark brown but i wanted to go lighter so i purchased loreal's color expert haircolor in the brioche which is supposed to be a light golden brown, after i completed the base color i noticed no difference, if anything it made my hair darker so i went ahead and put the highlights in...what a dissater....i have these terrible orange brassy streaks in my hair that i want goneeee....i was wondering if using a hair color remover such as Color Oops and then using a `hair color similar to my own would work? is this a good idea? is there any other way? pleaseee help!

Correct hair color?

before you do anything else, i would go get it professionally done so that you dont damage your hair any more than it already is...but thats just me.

Correct hair color?

Colour it white then colour whatever brown, black or blonde. it works like paints

Correct hair color?

this happened to me back when i was 15, i have meduim brown colored hair and it seems that when you have brown hair and try to go lighter it turns out orangish. I would just reccommend getting it done professionally. I haven't dyed my hair since and I don't think i ever will...it scared me off.

Correct hair color?

Get your butt to a trained colorist. You've done enough damage by yourself. They can custom mix a color that can cover the mistakes. It costs more, but it's worth it. Just make sure you don't go to some pro cuts or fantastic sam's type of place.

Loseing my hair bec of hair color!!!!?

ok is goin to be like a 1 year now since i see my hair falling. In summer 2006 i use to color my hair alot and i mean like with hair color remover and bleach then i saw it was falling it was damage at first soo i cut it very short(that dit not help) i was losein it again i know this bec when i shampoo %26amp; condition i see it in my hands then when i brush it is the same non-stop am scare to be bald at age 18 am ONLY 15 my hair grows yes but it fall i dont know if is ok or is something wrong. CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME PLZ!!!!!!!!!!(my mom say i have to cut it again now that is long but i like my long hair girl like it and more and more it feel less plz somebody http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r170/...

Loseing my hair bec of hair color!!!!?

you damaged it with the bleach: the hair you have now that was touched by the bleach is dead hair: you may as well cut it off. However if you treat any regrowth well then it should be OK: use an intensive conditioner once a week along with hot oil and a protein pack once a week. Do not use heat products on your hair while it is recovering.

Loseing my hair bec of hair color!!!!?

If your hair is fine it happens to most long hair. Also make sure people don't pull your hair that's really whaty damages it.

Loseing my hair bec of hair color!!!!?

you do not have to cut your hair! I have hair down to my butt, and when i wash it and brush it i get hands full of hair that fell out, or broke off....it is natural your old hair falls out or brakes and it regrows, you will not go bald,,,unless there is a chemical imbalance that causes it to happen. What i do is use volumizing shampoo and conditioner, volumizing leave in conditioner, and hair care products. Aussie has a great line of products that i use, and they work. Don't use patine pro-v it drys and brakes your hair. If you use a hair dryer or heat stylers, make sure you have some kind of product on your hair like frizz free or some kind of serum. You may use an intense conditioner( Aussie has a really good one for damaged hair) But please what ever you do do not use hot oil treatments, they strips the protein and nutrients from your hair! Hope this helps

Help - hair color disaster .....?

ok,i dye my hair black - have been for years. i have very very long thick hair,so i have someone do it for me at home - yesterday,i had my semi retarded (hehe) mom do my root touch up for me and she got the dye all over me. i usually put some oil or cold cream on the skin to prevent that, but she said don't worry about it .... i had some hair color remover wipes,so i got it mostly all off of my skin - hair line and ears etc. but - the problem is that it dyed some of my hair in places that did not need to be dyed. such as,she touched the side of my face with the gloves etc...so now i have black black hair in odd places - like on one side it looks like i have a goofy sideburn..etc.

wtf do i do? LOL i know it looks funny, and is funny, but how do i get it off - short of waxing or something...

HELP

Help - hair color disaster .....?

your first option is to bleach it. they have special face creams that lighten the hairs on your face and stuff. you could get this at a long-drugs or rite-aid

a less messy thing to do would be to just wax it off. you could get those little wax strips at the drugstore. (this is what i would do)

if your not into the whole pain thing, you could use nair on it i guess. but dont recommend that.

oh p.s : DO NOT SHAVE IT! (unless you want to look like a man)

good luck, living dead girl! %26lt;3

Help - hair color disaster .....?

if you're talking about dye getting on your skin, don't worry, it will soon fade off. i get some on myself all the time, and i find scrubbing it with shampoo in the shower to really help.

Help - hair color disaster .....?

I think maybe just get a tiny razor and shave the section where the hair wasn't supposed to be dyed.

Help - hair color disaster .....?

use a depilatory... like NEET or NAIR.... that will remove the facial hair, and it will grow back normal.. not beard-like....

Help! Hair emergency!?

My hair is really long, about an inch past my shoulder blades and is naturally brown. I was in my friends' hair show and she dyed my hair four different colors. I wanted to get rid of the rainbow on my head and I didn't know they had an at home hair color remover solution to get rid of unwated dye until a friend of mine mentioned it to me, but, she was a little too late because I dyed my hair black!! So, I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and got a box of One N' Only ColorFix. I applied it, followed the directions, but in the end it didn't turn out Orange like it said it would, some parts were dark, other parts were Orange. Does anyone have any tips on how to use this product? I know I should apply heat, and I know not use the Processing Lotion as it tends to darken the hair in the shower (and I don't want to go to a salon). I just want my hair to get the results as it should be! Orange all over. So I can dye it back to my natural color, Brown.

Help! Hair emergency!?

Oh boy. I mean first, I would recommend you go to a professional because messing with these products can destroy your hair and your hair follicles. If you destroy the hair follicle, that hair will never grow back (and I am talking from experience!). So, if there is any way you can swing it, go to a professional salon and have them fix it.

If not, then I would suggest you get a color remover first.

CVS has one, see here:

http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/de...

Then, once you have carefully removed the color (following directions carefully), you can recolor your hair your original color. Be sure to condition heavily once you are through, and avoid coloring your hair for at least 8 weeks afterward so that it has time to heal. Additionally, you might need to do a heavy conditioning every week to ensure shine and health.

Best of luck!

Help! Hair emergency!?

I don't know about that colorfix stuff but I just use this color remover I got from beauty world, which they have at sally's too on one of my clients hair, cuz she had old bleach and box color and other things built up on her hair. it a packet that has this blue powder in and you mix it with water or 20 vol. developer depending on how dark the color you are removing is. It sounds like you would use the 20 vol since you put black on it, then you leave it on for 30 to 40 min. but you don't use heat, you just work it in with your hands. heat adds more damage to your hair. Good luck. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

Help! Hair emergency!?

go to another beauty supple store and buy EFFERSOL they have another one i cant recall the name. but you canmix it with water or 10, 20, 30 vol. developer (dependint on how much color you need to remove) and apply that to the drk parts only at first . and mix one with water and apply to the rest of you hair. and let it work. make sure no to let it dry out. it wont work if its dry. then you can dye your hair. i recommend the loreal browns collection to get thecolro back to normal.

Does Temp Hair Dye Have Metallic in it? I want to use Color Fix?

The directions for Colorfix was not to use over henna or matalic hair dyes. I use the Natural Instincts and other Tempory Hair Colors.

I want to use Colorfix or a gentle hair color remover on the middle of my hair because my hair has layered hair coloring. The top part of the hair shaft, 4 inches or so near the roots, looks fine. It is redish, soft, pretty. But further down the shaft it is very dark brown and kinda muddy. I don't put color on the ends, to often, and so I think the blond processed hair underneath makes it a little lighter.

I think I would like to go a little lighter for the summer, may be redish light brown.

Thank you for your help.

Does Temp Hair Dye Have Metallic in it? I want to use Color Fix?

Colorfix is fine and is used by many women on www.longhaircommunity.com who also henna their hair and I have been doign so for at least 8 yrs now. The thing is that you must only use body art quality henna powder and then you wil be safe to use any dyes or chemicals safely without damaging your hair. When you buy premixed henna boxes they often contain additives or metallic salts and this is the problem.

Use colorfix only if you used body art quality henna powder. I don't want to see you damage your hair.

Does Temp Hair Dye Have Metallic in it? I want to use Color Fix?

with the diff. hair colors going on in your hair, and having a lot of exp. with the product color fix, and other strippers and bleaches alike, I would highly recommend you see a professional stylist/colorist or you can end up with an even harder to fix color dilemma. These products are very harsh and should not be used by non-professionals particularly when there is such a variation in hair color.

Hair color removal advice?

Quick question... I have light brown hair which I have been dying blonde for several years. Last time I dyed my hair was like 4 months ago. I now have about three inches of light brown roots. I would like to dye my hair brown. Will it come out wierd because of the two colors of my hair (dark roots and blonde hair)? Should I try a permenant hair color remover like L'oreal color zap before I dye it?

Hair color removal advice?

I have been going back and forth for years, brown to blonde and back again without any problems doing all my hair. The only problem I had was that the light brown did look a lot darker compared to the blonde I was used to. But dying the hair is actually healthier for your hair than lightening. Hope this helps.

Hair colour removal from a door.?

My wife was colouring her hair and got some die splashes on a white panel door (white gloss painted)

Tried on/two things ie:-white spirit, nail varnish remover no joy!

Any suggestions that wont damage paint just remove the die.

Hair colour removal from a door.?

When I accidentally got permanent marker onto a white gloss door, I was able to remove it with one of those "magic eraser" cleaners. There are various brands of them about - they all seem to do the same job and they work extremely well. I would give that a try for the hair dye.

If you are in the UK - try your local "pound shop" for the erasers

There is a link below to show you what I am talking about.

Hair colour removal from a door.?

Try rubbing alcohol, or hair spray, or lysol spray. They take pen ink out of fabric, it's worth a shot.

Hair colour removal from a door.?

Well it is dye and is not meant to be removed. I would think by trying white spirit or amyl acetate (nail varnish remover) you have pushed the dye into the paint and taken some paint off. You may have managed it with hot water and detergent had youi tried that first but I think the only thing now is to rub it down and repaint

Hair colour removal from a door.?

Clorox bleach pen. It should take the dye right out. Good luck!!

Hair colour removal from a door.?

The only thing you can do,is strip the door and repaint it

Getting brown hair dye out?

I used to dye my hair blue black for years and then I got my hair cut into a really short bob. After that I let the blue black grow out and kept having the hair cut. I wanted to dye my hair a much lighter colour so my hairdresser suggested I get highlights while she cut out the black as it grew. That was all great but I recently moved over to America and I am a student here and far too poor to go to the hairdressers!

I had awful light brown roots so I decided to dye my hair a darker brown. It's very dark but definitely not black.

Would it be safe to buy one of those hair colour removers? Just to take the darkness out? Or even bleach it for a really short time?

I really want to dye my hair a red, with as little damage as possible.

Getting brown hair dye out?

you may just want to wait a good minute. im not a hair dresser but i am a female and i no that dyeing your hair constantly is no good for your hair it can causeit to fall out. it really cant be that bad if it is you should just keep it low. where did you move from?

Getting brown hair dye out?

the brown die will fade out in time srry dontknow a faster way

Anybody have any tips on removing bonding glue from my hair?

I had hair extensions that were attached with glue. All of the extensions are out, but the glue is still in. Does anyone know any ways to remove it besides using hair glue remover? I tried that before and it doesn't work all that well.

I just took extensions out last night. Regular shampoo did no good! Try washing with dish washing liquid, do this once or two. Comb hair with a fine tooth comb while the shampoo is still in. Make sure to use a good conditioner afterwards seeing as that you just used dish washing liquid. Worked for me!!

Anybody have any tips on removing bonding glue from my hair?

Have you tried eyelash glue remover?

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't

I died my hair pitch black once 5-6 months ago and i tried to remove the color with ammonia/bleach free super strength hair color remover, but it didn't work it only removed a bit of the hair coloring, i used miss clairol, and i want to bleach my hair so that i can dye it again for better results, but im broke, lol. and i also need hair bleaching tips, i tried lemon juice all through summer, i even tried sun-in, didn't work, that was before i died my hair, but its winter now and i need an homemade indoor hair bleach. i have dark brown hair and i would like to get it to at least dark blond so that i can have better results with the hair dye. I once went to a very popular salon to get my hair bleached, and the hair dresser, the best one they had, fried my hair, and i ended up spending 20 bucks buying shampoo and conditioner to repair my hair, so... homemade hair bleach recipe that i can use in the wintertime, and rememeber my hair is dark brown and i want it dark blond. thanks.

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't work, help plz

If you colored your hair with a box black color, then they almost never come out. When you go to a salon with the boxed black haircolor, the bleach they use will damage your hair, and still only take it to a orange color.

I am a hair stylist, and I had to try to get rid of black box color, and it pretty much turned coppery, so I just covered it with red.

Any homemade bleach recipes will also damage, pretty much anything will damage, because you are lifting color out of your hair. When you lift the color, you are lifting your hair's cuticle, the more raised the cuticle, the more damaged your hair is.

The best thing I can think of would be a hair clarifying shampoo. Also, dish soap helps fade hair.

Good luck!

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't work, help plz

i have the same problem. you just have to wait till it grows out of go talk to someone like a pro. i tried dying my hair many times a light color and it only did the roots. black hair takes at least up to a year or more to grow out. just wash it a lot. you can also talk to someone about getting a certain shampoo that is made for taking out the hair color. dont worry, its just a hair color, just be glad its not worse.

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't work, help plz

They have hair color stripper. Most of the time it can damage your hair but my sister takes cosmetology classes and she was telling me about this product that takes out the color and it's really healthy for it too...I'll ask what the brand is and get back to you!

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't work, help plz

i use nordic colours streaking kits. 4-6 shade strength. my hair is really ruined from damage using other stuff like lightnening cremes which make my hair snap as a result my fringe is horrible. to get rid of black i'd say use a light - medium powered streaking kit and a hair drier to kick it in to gear keep an eye on it wash it out when its a bit gingery the first go I always keep ginger and then use total repair conditioners and shampoos with a hot oil treatment and three weeks later do it again but cut the leave in time down by ten minutes then wash it out LOOOK AFTER IT, i dont straighten it alot during it and a few more weeks later put the next colour i want on. it gets my hair to white blonde from layers and layers of black supermarket dyes plus salon black too.

my hair dresser didn't know what she was doing when she died my hair although faded old faded as blue (orginally bleach blonde) takes a nice browny blonde colour once its all gone.

I dyed my hair pitch black about 5-6 months ago, and i tried to remove the color, but it didn't work, help plz

I've been reading up a lot on this subject, as I am naturally gray, but now colored dark brown and want my hair in its natural state. From all I have read, One 'n Only hair color stripper is the BOM for removing hair color. It might not take you from black to platinum blonde, but a kit contains three boxes, so you can use it three times and get it lighter each time. The entire kit is only $18.95, and I think I saw it on Amazon.com. I am chicken to try it because I am mostly gray, which is already pretty dry and fragile hair to start with. I am thinking I will let the roots get skunky-looking, then maybe get some highlights, or just wear a scarf all the time. I am going to let it grow out, though, that much is certain. Best of luck to you. Go to search on Internet, type in One 'n Only hair stripper, and read the hundreds of reviews with pictures. That's where I saw all this stuff.

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

Ok, I KNOW black hair dye is one of the hardest colors to get out of your hair, and it's not like it was foolish or an accedent when I did it. my hair has been dyed black for over a year, and I have been re-dyeing it when needed.

But I'm sort of sick of it.

I know hair dye remover turns hair an ugly orange color, but would it work if I used hair dye remover, and then dyed over it with a light orange hair dye, and then after that, a dark blonde hair dye, and so on, untill I get the color I want?

I know it's damaging.

My hair is very thick, and the black dye hasent dryed it out or fried it, its in good condition.

Any ideas if you think this wont work?

thanks

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

wash your hair with hand soap about 4 times and then bleach ur hair. u will got a dirty blonde. and then after one week u can dye ur hair with blonde hair color.

i did the same and i damaged my hair for about 10% becuz:

I use exta vrigin coconut oil for shinny and soft hiar mixed with extra virigin olive oil for healthy hair , mixed with castr for thikness if you want . warm it togther and apply on your hair till be wet and message it very gently every where your CLEAN hair. wear cap and apply in hair dryer in beauty salons is found and then you wash your hair after All....by using a good shampoo and conditioner like pantene or sunsilk which I use ...it's excellent....beside trim your hair each 2 months just alittle bit for thviness and long hair, with your care your hair will back shinny again .

contiune these ,every week or two its completely natrual and feeding your scalp and hair . and you will find excellent results after that....

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

Umm...the only idea I can think of is to go to the salon because those box dyes and colour removers aren't going to work.

Black to blonde...ain't gonna happen if you do it yourself.

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

That doesn't sound like a great idea. Why not go to a salon, have them bleach it out completely, and then dye it? True, its more pricey, but you won't look like something vomited on your head. Good luck! :)

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

So what you need to do, I think, is dye it real light, by doing that the black will be gone and then you can have a clean palate to work off of. I think this is bleaching your hair. From there, you can be free to dye your hair other colors such as that light blonde you were looking for. There is really no way you can go straight from Black to Blonde, you need that small step inbetween.

I hope this helps!

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

You're gonna have to get a dye remover and strip the black off.

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

oy! that's a drastic color change! it would really mess up your hair, and the only thing to fix it would be going out and spending money at the salon =/

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

I had dark hair and wanted to go blonde. I spent like $90 at the hairdressers and all she could do was give me highlights. It didn't do anything to my hair. But I bought Clairol Born Blonde Maxi and now I'm as blonde as you can get. My hair didn't turn colors either.

I want light blonde hair, but my hair is dyed black?

if you insist on doing it yourself, you first need a haircolor stripper. Bleach will NOT work because you will not be able to put a color over it without it coming out wrong. After you strip the color, use a toner to get all the red and orange tones out. Then use a protein pack, which will counteract any damage done to your hair thus far and fill in any extra porous areas in your hairs cuticle. This also helps to ensure the end result is uniform and even. The last thing you do is apply the color you want your hair to be.

you can find everything you need at Sally's or any other beauty supple store

I have a question about hair dye...any and all help is welcomed.?

About two months ago I dyed my hair a dark brown, Clariol Natural Instincts number 20, the hazelnut. Instead of leaving my hair deep brown it left it black. I want my hair brown. I tried dying it brown but we all know it doesnt happen. I used a hair color remover less than a week ago and it didn't work, but I didn't have enough for all of my hair. It did lighten it some and I hoped that it would work, but when I dyed my hair again with a brand that showed starting hair as black and the end result as brown, my hair still was black with tones of brown.

I want my hair brown. I can't afford to go to the salon right now. So I'm trying to do this myself.

I have two ideas, one is hair color remover kit again and leave it on longer.

The other is to dye my hair blonde and then dye it brown. My concern is with both, will my hair turn green?

Can anyone reccommend the right hair dyes to use?

I want to go for a light brown, like a natural dirty blonde.

I have a question about hair dye...any and all help is welcomed.?

use clairol born blonde maxi (at cvs or walgreens) and lighten to the shade you want. then use a toner from sally's beauty supply. your hair will have an orange/reddish tone (called brassiness) after the lightening process so you are going to want to use a violet based brown toner. this will put a purple deposit on your hair that will cancel out the brassy tones and make it neutral in color. the sally's sales person can help you with instruction on how to mix the toner with the developer (level 10 developer is deposit only)

I have a question about hair dye...any and all help is welcomed.?

Using any type of color remover on your hair kills it. If your hair is black, try using hair products for color treated hair. But instead of picking brown, go with blonde, it should gently lighten the hair.

If you bleach your black hair blonde (first off thats way too much bleach, your hair would probably fall out) it wont turn green, if you do it at home most it might turn more orange as Ive seen it turn that color even at the salon,

I still suggest shampoo/conditionar.

Check out Walgreens, their cheap, and get the job done.

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

omg, ok. hair removal creams sting. never use them if you have cuts on your skin. and be careful, cus alot of people are allergic to them. the first time you use hair removal cream you might get redish sensitive spots, but thats normal cus your skin isnt used to the cream. it gets easier as you use it more. HRCs take the hair away for longer, but its only for about two days longer. maybe three. it has different variations depending on how long youve been shaving.

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

chemicals are BAD FOR YOU!! dont do it!!!!! it couuld save you! from problems

!

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

Move to Paris and never shave again !

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

waxing is probally the way to go for cheap easy fixes and you can do it your self, try a peel off wax that doesn't require strips, dont buy a home electrosis or e-pen, absolute waste of money, dont work, l didn't like creams as l didn't find l got a close enough to the skin removal and plus if you leave it on too long can burn the skin

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!! SAVE URSELF!! lol but still don't do it.

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

I know how you feel about shaving...it can be a big pain in the butt. The hair on my legs grows back very fast and my legs are sensitive.

I have tried various hair removers and have had different results. Nair creme makes my skin rash really bad and the veet with the bladeless razor has as well. However the new 3 minute spray on shower off hair removers I have found to work really good and not make me rash. There is also a creme neutralizer that takes off any chemicals the removers may of left behind.

The spray on shower off hair removers also made my legs very smooth for longer then shaving. I have also found that if you legs become sensitive or itchy to use baby lotion after. Hope that helps!

I have been SHAVING for a WHILE And it is SO ANNOYING what are the GOOD and BAD things about hair Removers?

I like to wax because my hair grows back softer and less noticable- when I shave, the hair grows back blunt, stubbly, and very noticable. But if waxing isn't an option for you, let me tell you this: I have never used a hair remover, but think about it, if the chemicals are strong enough to dissolve hair, imagine what it will do to your skin...

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

Right now I have some permanent hair dye still in my hair, as it didn't fully come out when I used some color remover.

All I want to do is bleach the bottom half of my hair at the back so I can dye it purple. :]

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

No! Don't bleach it. It'll become stiff and brittle, and after a while (a week or so) it'll break off. I suggest getting a salon color-remover job (it's fairly inexpensive) and just have them do the bottom half. It'll save your hair! (Trust me, it happened to my friend!)

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

OK if you don't want to lose all your hair from the insane amount of damage you have already done to it.... let it grow out back to a healthy state--then you can mess with it again

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

no. bleaching your hair ruins it in the first place. Bleaching on dye would be a total mess

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

I wouldn't do it but you can but personly i wouldn't

(.)(.)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

okay...so if u wanna dye your hair purple..then its okay to bleach it. But u said ur hair was dyed black? Be carefull, coz u can really damage your hair. When u dye it some paritucular crazy color like purple...there are times when the dye works when the color is darker. Hope this helps...

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

goodluck. i would not reccommend it though. bleach will kill your hair. i bleached my hair blonde back when i was 16. and now i'm 21 and my hair has never been the same since. it dried it out and brittle and it breaks easily. my adivce. don't do it.

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

Im assuming your color on the bottom is darker than the purple would be. In that case it would need to be bleeched however there are safer ways to do this that would also keep the integrity of your hair in mind.........while no chemical service is always the best idea for your hair their are ways to do this in a more healthy manner.

Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

first up i would leave my hair for a little while after using the colour remover to let your PH Balance level out

second if you bleach the bottom part and then ad colour .

if you don't like the results get a cut .

its just the bottom part of your hair its the first part to come off if you were to get a cut anyways

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

then nobody would know that females have to shave !!!

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

I dunno about you, but I'm female and my husband's razor works just great. (better than female stuff!)

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

I guess we woudnt shave and it would save alotta time!

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

I would look like a monkey!

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

then we would all remain hairy, but that would be ok because that would be the new norm

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

We would just use the men's stuff. It seems to me that the women's shaving stuff just came out on the market within the past 10 years or so - and before then, people were using the products that were available.

Personally, I feel much more feminine when I am freshly smoothed out and shaved!

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

That means that our hair would fall out on it's own. My mother is an immigrant from southeast Asia and she hasn't shaved a day in her life and her underarm and legs and upperlip is hairless!!!!!!! I am NOT lying!!! I wished that I hadn't shaved at all because my hair would become so fine and thin that it would eventually fall out of it's follicle, like hers...and like i said...no I AM NOT LYING about this...my mom is hairless, but of course she does have a full set of hair though

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

Simple... we would have hairy legs... and armpits and other places...

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

You mean if depilatory compounds hadn't been invented by Egyptians and others over 4000 years ago? They weren't just for women.

You mean if no one had figured out how to use pairs of shells as tweezers *before* there was metalworking? I don't imagine only guys had used them.

I don't imagine there'd be much of a difference.

What would have happened if Female leg shavers and hair removers would not had been invented?

you wouldn't know the deference it would be normal and Shavian legs would be weird and not pretty look back a few sentries ago fat was beautiful today fat is ugly

it all depends on fashion

For the ladies - have you used Nair or other hair removers with self tanners? Will it remove the tan

As an over 50 woman, I'm accumulating little nicks from shaving that don't tan. My friend loves Nair, but doesn't use a tanner. What's worked for you?

For the ladies - have you used Nair or other hair removers with self tanners? Will it remove the tan?

The only way to remove a tan from a self tanner is by exfoliating the skin. All Chemical hair removers also act as an exfoliant so, yes they will remove a bit, not all of the tan.

Best best is to use a hair remover first, then a self tanner as self tanners recommend starting on hair free, exfoliated skin.

I used all the brands (Veet, Nair, Sally) but I just checked out the new Epil Stop hair remover and the really cool new afterwash that comes with it. Happy to say that I had a really good experience with Epil Stop. I really like how it smelled, definitely better that the others. Worked perfectly for me.

If you are at all worried about skin irritation or burning yourself, you gotta try Epil Stop閳ユ獨 Perfect Finish Neutralizing AfterWash - It will neutralize any hair remover cream left on your skin so you won't burn yourself accidentally or get any little red bumps. It's an amazing product - really works!!!!

They have a demo on their website that shows how it works

For the ladies - have you used Nair or other hair removers with self tanners? Will it remove the tan?

omg the jergens tanner is the best...the nair stuff gives my legs a rash.....

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should

So, I wanted to go to a salon to this but they wanted to charge me $150 - which I can not afford right now. I've colored my hair many times before, but belive it or not it's in really good shape. It is black now. I want to dye it a medium brown color with lighter brown hightlights. Unfortuantely, walmart does not have a two step kit for this color.

I've thought about using two different hair colors. The darker as a base and by using a highlighting cap add the lighter color after I've rinsed the other. I don't know if this will work, and I'm affraid it may damage my hair serverly.

Also, I don't know if I should use a color remover before I recolor or not. I have use one once before when I tried to go from brown to blonde, but it left my hair very dry after coloring. Because I am trying to remove black, it seems to me it may be less damaging to just dye over it. I plan to use a pre-coloring creme and a post-coloring conditioner I found at a beauty salon. Any suggestions will help

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

My advice is to call around to get different prices before you try anything yourself. You might even try a local "beauty school." The do-it-yourself highlight kits are much harder than they look and your hair can come out awful looking and damaged. Then, you'll end up paying more $$ in the long run to get it fixed. Trust me, I know this from experience :)

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

Use a natural product, such as henna. Chemical products will damage your hair regardless of their quality.

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

Don't mess with your hair!

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

My beautician told me that coloring your hair is just not healthy. She recommends a rinse. She said it doesn't damage the hair and gives it a natural shine.

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

Try henna products. They are natural and wear out eventually.

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

No matter what you do your hair is going to take a beating, I suggest waiting till you got the money cause the last time I tried to use over the counter highlights they didnt work like I wanted it to. And keep in mind I have been dying my hair and others for a long time, The best thing you could do is go to the salon, I had to have burgandy removed and they put on light brown with blonde highlights, it was the best work I have ever seen, although not good for my checkbook, after all the chemicals I walked out of there with silky smooth hair. And it was not just a product they used a week later my hair felt the same way, so like I said you might want to just wait and go to the pros on this one cause if you mess it up, you are going to have to walk around like that for 6 weeks, the shortest time you can wait to dye your hair again

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, go to a hairdresser who works privately .ie. outside of a salon because they tend to be cheaper.

If you don't know who to ask, try a friend who's had highlights recently. (Don't do it yourself)

Also when you find a hairdresser who you like, they should give you the 2 options of a cap or a foil method.

Don't use the cap especially if you have curly hair as this will definately hurt (I know, I've had it) and damage your hair.

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

Girl all you have to is save your money up say 3dollars a week and you will come up with what know

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

color removers are going to kill your hair don't use it unless you really need too...To pre-lighten your hair you need to go to a beauty supply store and purchase this get a product call 7in 1 by miss Clairol you need to buy a 2 oz bottle with 2 activator package this will prelighten hair to a level 10 but if your hair is black it will take a couple times to lighten it to a lighter color...just for the recorded color wont lift color you will need bleach after you do this put a deep condition cream on head for 15 mins with a towel on you head to hold in the heat

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

Girl, I have totally just gone through this! I dyed my hair pretty often, got an insanely expensive color %26amp; highlight job that I just couldn't upkeep and didn't work after labor day, so I went back to my natural color: jet black. I tried to dye my hair at least twice more to get a warmer color, but the black just absorbed it. So you definitely need a color remover - I went to a salon and they did it for me b/c I couldn't find a decent one (i.e. not going plat. blonde) at drugstores. It lifted out several layers of color and didn't destroy my hair. I'm not sure what they used but it took time and some strand checks. Then my stylist recommended a one color process and told me to wait at least 6m for highlights. Since my hair is now weaker, I will need to use a deep conditioner every time I wash. But I don't mind, since my hair is now a gorgeous multi-dimensional chocolate. I'll probably add highlights in summertime. My advice is to save your money until you can get it done right at an salon. Use the time to do your homework and find an inexpensive salon. If they tell you that you can remove color, add a base and highlights on the same day, then they're being dishonest. Good luck!!!

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

there is this woman in my home town named Liz She does my moms hair all the time highlights haircuts dying she can do anything and it doesn't even take a hair off your head

I want to add color and highlights to my hair with causing as little damage as possible. How should I do this?

You should try your local listings for the old fashioned out of the house type of beauty shops. They will save you money. Those famous name salons and mall shops are rip offs. I found a great in home shop not far from my house, when I go I feel like I am at a spa, my hair is highlighted washed (Shampoo %26amp; Conditioning Treatment), also get hand treatment with a hand scrub and hand cream, they feel so soft when I leave there, she uses an AVON product for that, and then I get it cut anyway I choose all for like $40.00, although she will not cut my hair unless she thinks that it will look great on me (saves me from making mistakes, the girls in those famous places usually won't tell you that, they just cut away or suggest one of the most expensive styles). She always serves coffee and goodies while your hair is processing and always remembers your name and asks about you and your family, kids, etc.

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

i didn't use the gloves when i dyed my hair brown and now my fingers are brown. i tried nail polish remover, toothpaste, and a few other things but it is still on my fingers. how can i get it off??

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

Good luck on that.. I have done hair for 15 years and have to figure out a product that will complete remove the color. What I do is file my the top of my nails to get the color off and file my skin. It is just the top layer that is stained. This is why you should wear gloves. It will take about 2 or 3 days to wear off. You can try a mixture of salt and baking soda with a little water in a paste like form and scrub your hands with it. the abrasive stuff will act as the file does and it make a chemicle reaction and can lighten the color on your skin. this doesn't always work depends on the porosity of your skin.

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

Go to a beauty supply store. They sell dye remover for skin.

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

Try lemon juice or the juice of a lemon. If that doesn't work, try some cooking oil. If that doesn't work, try washing detergent. If that doesn't work, diluted vinegar.

hope this helps

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

Bleach is about the only thing to get it off right away. You can try alll the different color removers but it will only make it fade some. I get color on my hands everyday at work and thats the onlt thing that will take it off, just make sure to use lotion afterwards.

How can i get brown hair dye off of my hands?

You can get a remover just for that at the beauty supply store or just let it wear off which it will in a couple of days.

Is it ok to shave and use hair removers during pregnancy?

Shaving is perfectly safe as long as you are able to manuever and see around your belly! Chemical hair removers (depilatories) may not be a good choice and I personally would not use them (especially not in the first trimester). You should read more about them here: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnan...

I would say waxing.... it's not the most comfortable way to go, but it does work and stays groomed for the longest amount of time.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

i have used veet in shower hair remover and it did not work for me has anyone got any ideas? thanks

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

well, there is no other effective way apart from shaving im afraid.Use plenty of shave gel/moisturising soap and a razor with those moisture strips on for extra comfort and protection.Underarm hair grows in all directions so you may need to shave up,down, and side to side to get a smooth effect.

good luck! xxx

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

shave.

do it the other way from which your hair grows.

likeee up the ways lol.

hope that made sense.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

Only shaving or waxing will work. The underarm hair is tough and difficult to get rid of.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

stand on your head

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

I just shave... I do it in two directions: upwards and then inwards. I don't know why the veet didn't work, but shaving is faster and cheaper anyway.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

I have two razors, one for my legs and one for my underarms. The underarm one stays sharper a lot longer this way and it won't irritate. I also use bar soap there because it is much more slippery than cream and it will slide easy and get ya really smooth. Hope this helps =)

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

just shave everyday and you'll be fine.

閳?br>What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

shave or try some nair.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

I personally don't like to shave underarm hair as it makes all the hair grow back all stubbly and black like. I pluck mine, I don't pluck all of it as that would take an eternity. I just pluck the really noticable ones and then it looks like I have no hair at all. It doesn't take too long, 10 min. tops for me but it may be different for you.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

Amputate arms.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

shave with a razor and shave gel

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

electrolysis. it's generally pretty inexpensive (for example $25 for a 15 minute session). however, to complete the process of permanent hair removal, you should do 2-3 sessions throughout the course of a year (depending on the thickness of the hair) but then you'll never have to shave again! technology is great today, so it's virtually painless! you should check out your local electrolysis boutiques, compare prices and set up some consoltations. Good luck! =]

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

Get an epilator such as Gently Gold Caress, works well on underarms, legs, bikini line and entire pubic area if you wish.

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

With the Veet did you definitely leave it on for long enough?

I shave using lots of deodorant instead of soap as I find I don't need to apply it afterwards when it stings as it goes in the open pores. Waxing generally lasts longer although I would recommend getting it done professionally as it is a really difficult place to do.

Good Luck!

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

Epilate.

An epilator costs 35+ but is WELL worth it.

For one, an epilator pulls the ahirs out from the root and even though its a bit painful, you get used to it, im 16 and its fine for me! *my mum uses hers also, never share*

secondly, itll get rid of hairs for WAY longer than shaving and you dont get ingrown hairs.

using it for a while results in finer, less visible hair growing back!

its great! x

What is the best way to get rid of underarm hair?

waxing is always a good idea and quite cheap aswell and you dont get left with and stubble and doesnt hurt much either or you could get laser hair removal which is expensive but never grows back. good luck xx

Do the spray on hair removers work and how much do they cost? Are they worth it? Do they smell?

they dont work unless its for a little amount of hair, that isnt too coarse

it costs about $6-$8

i dont think their worth it

and yea they smell

Do the spray on hair removers work and how much do they cost? Are they worth it? Do they smell?

NO they don't work. I once bought a spray on product and it had a mousse consistency. When it came time to remove my leg hair, It didn't work, the sponge irritated my skin and the smell was horrible. I spent 8 bucks for nothing......... I recommend waxing because the hair doesn't start to grow until 2 or 3 weeks, yeah it's painful but the results look great.

Do the spray on hair removers work and how much do they cost? Are they worth it? Do they smell?

no they do not work and they smell like fart even if its a cheap price money is mone u couldve used that money for something else usually 6-12 dollars hop this helps

Do the spray on hair removers work and how much do they cost? Are they worth it? Do they smell?

I don't know about spray on, but I use Nair lotion, and it works wonders!

At- Home color remover?

I am a red head and I died my hair dark brown. I've tried washing my hair w/ dawn soap, using red expressions shampoos, re-dying over it, and I don't have the money to get it professionally stripped. Would At-home color remover be too much of a risk to use?

At- Home color remover?

If you want red hair back, your best bet is to re-dye your hair red. Go to the nearest beauty outlet and invest in mixing dye, creme and a bowl and brush. Also get powder lightener to mix with the creme mixer apply it to your hair. Wash and let dry, or blow dry. And then mix the colour and re-dye your hair red. Stripping your hair can be damaging, I have been there when hair falls out because of WAY too much peroxides and it's not good. The sales associates at the beauty outlet will be able to help you in finding the colour closest to your natural shade. So when your hair grows in you won't be able to see the difference.

Hair removal?

Are there any ways of naturally removing hair, without shaving or buying waxes or removers? I have really sensitive skin, and those things bother me...

Hair removal?

Have you tried Nad's hair removal gel? It's made from all natural products. You may find (as we all do) that your skin is red and sensitive immediately afterwards, but that generally goes away. Also, try taking Tylenol or ibuprofen at least 1 hour before waxing- it helps to reduce inflammation. Your only other option is to get your tweezers out and pluck every one of those little suckers out at a time- tediously time consumming and more painful than the all-at-once method. Otherwise, you'll have to embrace your natural self!

Hair removal?

They do make shave gels specifically for sensitive skin. You're pretty much ruling everything out - you can't just wish hair away.

use the one which is made for men.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

if they have hair, i dont see why not?

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Yes, but why would they?

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Yes but dont put it on your private area... My brother did that and he started to cry lol

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Yes, and they should; especially if they have an excess of hair on their backs, chest, or upper arm areas.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

yes

Can boys use hair removers like females?

yes they even have nair for men

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Why????

Can boys use hair removers like females?

definetly dear..........................enjoy.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Sure, but it probably won't work as well for you as it does for women seeing as though you're a guy, and your hair is naturally thicker and more coarse.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

Be careful with the hair remover! - Sensitive area, No. It may hurt you! Other not sensative area? Yes, %26amp; No.

Why Yes- for better, cleaner appearance.

Why No- Some woman does not like a man look like a female. A boy will grown up as a man, not a sisy.If you are in high school or a college, you should know.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

yeah but the hair wil grow faster.

Can boys use hair removers like females?

yes

Best facial hair removers?

I've tried everything under the sun,

body hair has been a massive problem for me growing up, not just facial!

for your face don't shave or use creams because it only grows back thicker, it'll end up looking like a man's stubble!

the best thing to do is 'threading' a traditional Indian way of removing the hair using cotton thread. u can wax the rest of your body but as the face is sensitive waxing it regularly could harm it.

if you only have small unnoticeable hair u can bleach it using products such as 'jolen' and it bleaches the hair so there not as visible unless Ur stood underneath a light!

laser hair removal would be a more permanent solution but it is very expensive and not guaranteed to work with all hair types.

hope this helps x

Best facial hair removers?

WAX IT!

Best facial hair removers?

Coarse grit sandpaper

Best facial hair removers?

Surgi Cream. It's a depilatory cream. It works great!

Cream hair removers for bikini line??

do they actually work?? and which brand is the best? thanks:)

Cream hair removers for bikini line??

Yes they can work but, make sure they are the kind designed to be used in the bikini area. Also make sure you test a small area of skin on your forearm to see if you are allergic or sensitive to the cream before you use on your bikini area. Applying a lotion for sensitive skin after the cream hair remover will help with irritation.

Bleached hair?

I bleached my hair and now it is pink and blonde. How do i get the pink out? A toner? But i want it to be platinum blonde, what should i do? Wait awhile and use a color remover to get the pink out or use that shampoo for blonde hair, i think it's called shimmer lights. Has anyone had this situation and how do i get the hair I want?

Bleached hair?

SOUNDS like You REALLY Messed Up Your Hair ! !

So NOW; You R SIMPLY Going 2 (HAVE) to Go 2 a PROFESSIONAL 2 get Your Hair TAKEN CARE OF ! !

Bleached hair?

You may need to ask a pro, especially if you were trying to bleach hair that has already been dyed or lightened. The shampoo won't get rid of the pink. I don't have any experience with color remover, but toner might help.

Bleached hair?

I'm not quite sure why it would be pink, but I use So Silver shampoo to make mine platinum. The shampoo is bright purple.

Women hair removers. Are men able to use these products on Their face, instead of shaving?

I would not commend that to you!

the chemical substances that soften and destroy the hair are sharp, your face would presumably look terrible afterwards. also, waxen your face could be really painful...

and the use of a depilatory... have fun!

stay true to shaving, or grow a beard, honey

Women hair removers. Are men able to use these products on Their face, instead of shaving?

would have thought so, it's just hair. Don't actually know, though since I've not tried it.

Women hair removers. Are men able to use these products on Their face, instead of shaving?

I should have thought most men would think it a bit "girly" to use hair remover - but then so many men are using face creams and hair dye these days, why not! Come on guys, who's gonna volunteer to try it?!

Women hair removers. Are men able to use these products on Their face, instead of shaving?

I have seen a 'bladeless shave' hair removing cream for the face but that was some time ago and it was directed toward black skin that can be prone to razor bumps and ingrown hair.

Hair removing creams work by dissolving the hair structure and as a result are full of hecitic chemicals. Mens facial hair is particuarly strong and therefore would take longer to dissolve than say hair or your arms or back.

I wouldnt recommend putting it on your face and most likely the manufactuer of products such as Veet doesnt either.

Women hair removers. Are men able to use these products on Their face, instead of shaving?

No because they specify on the bottle usually not for use on the face or intimate parts so im sorry you'll have to continue shaving sorry.

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

i want my smooth legs to stay like that for longer, i use hair remover, Nair. They only last for 3 days!! Any suggestions?

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

Any hair remover last for about 3 to 4 days. That has to do with new growth. Waxing could last longer, but it's expensive if you do it at a salon. The best way is to shave and then moisterize your legs to kep them smooth.

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

uh u can try waxing them or using veet i never used veet but i have heard it works good but smells extremely bad when you use it

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

waxing is the only way that is affordable to keep the hair growth down.. It will take a few times but you will notice that the hair grows in lighter in color and it is softer and more sparse.. You can get a decent wax ( comes in a tub ) at a beauty supply store make sure to buy some extra waxing strips though you will find that what they give you in the package won't be enough.. They are reusable.. There is also a product called Magic made by Soft-sheen.. It is formulated for black men to help with razor bumps and what you do is mix it with water to form a paste cover the area you want the hair gone from let it dry then take a plastic spoon and literally scrap it off the hair comes off with it and it isn't painful like waxing and it is relatively cheap and it DOES work I have used it for years after many years of waxing.. I would try that first before waxing to see what works best for you .. Good luck

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

try waxing

How can i delay my hair from growing back when i shave my legs?

I use the Silk.epil by Brown shaver, one of those that have several rotating tweezers. I've been using it for years and I only have to shave my legs once a week because the little tweezers remove the hair by the root so, it takes longer for the hair to grow back, not to mention that hair grows thinner as you use it, and it is not painful like many say, what you really feel is a slight pinching sensation that I promise you'd get used to as you use it, after that you wouldn't even feel it. You can find the shaver I mention above at Ulta or Bed,Bath %26amp; Beyond. Another good brand is Emjoi, but so far, I only find them available online( I bought the travel one for smaller areas) here's the link and If I was you I'd give it a try, otherwise you can return it if you don't like it (they are refundable) Good Luck!

Facial hair on a girl?

I'm 24 and sometimes I get thick dark hairs on my chin and neck. I pluck them out, but they grow back and it drives me crazy! I can't afford lazer, and it's too embarassing to wax. Cream hair removers don't really work. What should I do?

Facial hair on a girl?

P.C.O.S ?

Facial hair on a girl?

just buy your own waxing set at your local drug store.

people will think you're waxing your eyebrows. =]

Facial hair on a girl?

im the same way...im not being stuck up...but i know im really pretty...LOL and i get told im really pretty all the time...but people dont know i have this problem and go through this...it basically runs my life...and it ruins my life...i dont really know how to deal with it either...i think sooner or later im just going to have to get lazer surgery its really the only way....sometimes i try to look on the bright side of it...some people have problems that they cant wax or pluck out...LOL

Facial hair on a girl?

You can buy waxing strips. They work ok on finer hairs, but once it is too thick(unless there long) you may have to continue to pluck. Don't worry your not alone.

Facial hair on a girl?

Wax or do something because a hairy faced girl isn't hot! Just telling the truth.

Facial hair on a girl?

The hair growth is hormonal, so electrolysis wont help, because of the hair growth cycle they will never be able to catch up to the new growth, plucking is the only alternative, save up for the laser that seems to work well.

Facial hair on a girl?

i wax %26amp; pluck sally hansen has these plastic wax strips tat work well %26amp; they're easy youll need mineral oil to clean any residue, and your skin will be red so do them when your gonna be home for a couple hours

Facial hair on a girl?

I use Nair and it works great

And it makes hair grow back thinner and lighter so sometimes when I get lazy you cant really tell

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

I dyed my hair lighter than my medium brown color and it turned out red. At Sally's they told me to get an ASH color that I liked so I chose ASH Dark Blonde and it turned out orange!. Im super tired of dealing with it , so I want to go back to my mediun brown and put some highlights as I used to have and looked really good.

What should I do:

- Use color remover, then put a medium ash brown?

- Bleach my hair, then put medium ash brown?

- Just put the medium ash brown??

What if I wanted to get rid of the red and go lighter instead of med brown? do I have to bleach it????

(NOTE: I CANT AFFORD A SALON. SINGLE MOM WITH TOO MANY BILLS.)

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

Bleach your hair then dye it ash brown.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

ok since you can't afford a salon (me eitehr) I mess wit my hair a lot too. i can't do ANYTHING blond..it turn's red... I typically pick something darker then I want...and it turns out fairly nice... ok new plan.. you bleach your hair.. make sur eit turns a lot lighter.. make sure you space things out.. don't dye your hair back to back... I wish i had of used wash out dye's back in teh day.. I've died my hair over 50 times now.. anyways... bleach it... then pick a nice brown you like... make sure there are NO HINTS of red in it... look at the hair samples on the back... if any have hints of red, dont get it.. dont get nice and easy, it's bad on your hair.. there's some good loriell at wal-mart for like 3 bucks.. those are nice..

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

no you just have to keep dying it every couple weeks just keep going lighter every time.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

If you can't go to a salon, you'll have a very tough time. Red is impossible to get out without salon quality treatments to strip your hair. But do the next best thing, look up beauty colleges in your town where they train people to style hair and whatnot. Usually they have a location that students can do your hair for low low prices. Tell them you want your hair treated with toner to get the red out, (toner is basically in the shampoo they'll use, it puts blue in your hair to cancel the red). Then tell them what color to dye your hair, and watch them like a hawk. They are students so the risk is that they might mess it up, but don't worry, I've actually been to them several times in my town, and they haven't done anything too bad yet. I always turn out looking great, but they don't always give me exactly what I want. Just make sure to voice any concerns and don't let them do anything you're not asking for. If it sounds wrong to you, it just might be, so trust your instincts.

Also, any over the counter dyes or treatments claiming to strip your hair color, they contain lots of amonia, and they wont do what you're looking for. I always recommend a salon for big color changes. Best of luck, I really hope this helps, I'm a college student, so I know all about hair care on a budget lol, I also had red hair lol

ps, that color removal you asked about using will bleach your hair, which is REALLY bad for it, especially since you're planning on coloring it afterwards. Don't do it, you'll destroy your hair and wind up worse than before.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

The salesperson at Sallys should be able to steer you to the right shade for you, IF she knows her stuff. In the Sally's around here, most of the sales help have had experience working in salons. They may even had a website where you can ask questions.

Depending on your skin tone, you may be using the wrong base color. Some colors have an orange or violet or blue "base".

I think you can also get stuff at Sally's that will tone out any red or "brassy" problems. BE CAREFUL with bleaching--it can make your hair brittle if it isn't done right and you may end up going bald--YIKES!

You've received some good advice from others, especially the person who suggested doing it in gradual steps.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll look great no matter what your hair color is.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

I'm a guy with short hair--partly graying. A solon dyed my hair a rather magenta/black color, and then used color remover within a couple of hours. The result is something of a brassy dark auburn--NOT what the doctor ordered! How can I tone this down to make it more subtle? Some gray still shows, which is good. Can I use a non-peroxide semi-permanent wash over this?

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

You may want to try Dawn Dish soap to try and strip any color out of four hair first. My Mom in law is a hairdresser and she said the Dawn soap will take some of the color out. You may have to wash it a few times though. I would try this 1st b/4 putting any more chemicals on your hair. Good luck.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

shave it

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

Carmel took my answer....haha....

Shave it bald. And men coloring their hair to cover the gray......yeah women know this trick......and it doesn't impress them......give it up.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

I'd go back to your original salon and have them fix it. I'd not try anything myself because you don't know exactly what they did and what they used. Hate to make matters worse.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

go back to the salon .. They are legally bound to fix it....

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

Have a professional help you. But I got to tell you, gray hair on a man is very sexy. Why cover it?

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

have it redyed a darker color and let it grow back in natural, then have it redyed the color you want. This will cover up your mistake until it can grow out.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

First of all grey hair on a man is very sexy and should be left alone to impress that special lady. If you really hate it use a colour that is closest to your natural so it dosnt look treated.A semi colour will only help temperary to fix your colour now. I would suggest a permanent colour instead as close to your natural as possible and this should get rid of the reddish tones you now have. Stay away from the ash colours though as they have a greenish effect to them. Go to Shoppers or other popular drug store and talk to someone in that department as they know what colours cover up what your trying to get rid of.

How can I fix a tragic hair coloring incident?

yes, you can use a demi hair color or semi hair color. You may want to try a color that has a nuetral base.

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

They are like a strip of scotch tape. You put it on the part you want to remove the hair and rub it. then pull. I can not seem to get them to work. Then they are to big. And if you cut them, by that time there stickiness is gone from touching it.

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

I had these (http://www.suddenchange.com/brow-product... which were tape, without wax they worked amazing. I ran out and can only find them online.

I got Sally Hansen ones (http://www.amazon.com/Sally-Hansen-Strip...

which are wax and you cut them before you peel it apart then you rub it in your hands for a few seconds to warm it.

When you press it on it doesn't feel like it is securely on, but trust me, they work.

Hope I was some help.

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

P.I.T.A !!!

I use a wand with a blade on it to shape my eyebrows . They sell them in Walgreens .

It looks something like this :

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

It's worth $15 to me to just let someone do them for me :)

Anyone ever by those eye brow hair removers?

i have tried the strips, the wond, the wax. the wax dripped into my daughters eye lids. so we were picking out wax. i guess i used the strips wrong. the wound cut her eyebrow. if we can not get to a salon I will use a razor, but they grow back like the next day.

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail

and nothing seems to remove it, anyone have any suggestions?

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

I would wet a towel and heat it for a few minute in the microwave. Using tongs, take the towel to the wax and cover for a few minutes. Take a plastic spatula and it will lift right off.

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

What kind of wax is it????

Any wax I've used is water soluable

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

I would think being that it is wax you just need to warm it up

and scrape or wipe it off. Try using your hair dryer to warm it

or hot water.

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

baby oil or olive oil...

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

get it warm with a lamp or lighter or hair dryer or something and then wipe it or pick it off

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

just scrape it off then use some ajax or vim and will come off easily

How can i remove hair removing wax from a sink or countertop? I've tried a alcohol, fingernail polish remover,

try using either really hot water to melt it, or use either a iron or curling iron with a newspaper to absorb the was as it is heated. just put the paper over the wax and the hot iron on the other side until it melts into the paper.

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

Hi I had my hair highlighted 7 months ago (half head and hairdresser put in just a few thin stripes of bleach around my face and the rest was a hi -lift honey colour)). My natural colour is light brown. About 6 weeks ago I put streaks of permanent neutral light brown through the top to blend my routes. If I want to highlight my hair now, do I need to strip the colour. I want sand or honey highlights they don't need to be really blonde, its more to break up my hair and create texture as my hair is quite fine. So would I need to use a colour remover OR could I just go on and streak the hair and allow some reddish streaks to result alongside the blonde and do I need to use bleach to lift the colour for my highlights or is there something more gentle I could use / or even mix with a few small streaks of bleach?

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

You would be best to get highlights at the hairdressers as they will more than likely not turn out how you want at home. A good hairdresser will probably just give you highlights over the other dye, mine does anyway. I would defiantly not do it yourself though just to make sure you get the colour you want.

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

OMG you need to talk to a professional b.c you do NOT want your hair to fall out-

Will color remover work if i wait a few months after permanent dying my hair?

I just used a permanent dye and my dad said it will never come out. I like it, but will i be able to remove it or at least lighten it (my natural color is only a couple shades lighter) if i keep it in for a few months? i really like it so i just want to remove it when my roots come in

Will color remover work if i wait a few months after permanent dying my hair?

yeah its supposed to

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

First off - I really cannot go to a prof. I have $30 to my name and the drugstore is my only option (pathetic i know)

My hair is naturally a medium-ish tinted brown, but last year i had it highlighted, then when my roots started to come in i died it back to a medium brown, which then still left light streaks everywhere

I now died it dark brown and it came out black

I look like i have a wig on (no exageration) and VERY spotty

What are the best at-home hair bleaches/color removers that have worked out the best for you??

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

I just answered pretty much the same questioned for another girl on here....here's my suggestion:

"Loreal Color Zap gently washes away all permanent haircolor. Ideal for color correction, removal of dark shades, muddy, uneven results or color build up. Leaves hair ready for immediate re-coloring. Loreal Effasol Color Remover washes away permanent haircolor, leaving hair ready for recoloring. Can be used with water or developer."

I read somewhere else where a girl had the same problem as you and she used a similar product to the Color Zap and she said that it lightened her hair so that she could dye it the lighter color that she wanted.

I hope it works out for you! I'll cross my fingers. Good luck sweetie!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

first offf you aree verryy pretty

and yes your hair is much darker but i really like it!!

ummm maybe loreal perfect blonde but leave it on for longer then 60 mins toherwise it will go orange otherwise im afraid you'll have to go for a pro

hope everything goes alrite

xx

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Go to Sally's and tell them about your problem I'm sure they'll help. GOOD LUCK

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

The black makes you look older. I did mine and it came out black and it was suggested to me to use baking soda with my shampoo. Dont do that too often but it does help. Your brown hair was GORGEOUS if I could get that color for myself I would. You could also order henna from hennasooq.com and make a big difference without damaging your hair.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

u dont need a color remover or bleach. It will turn ur hair orange. Im a hair stylist if u in depth questions email me at pinky200626@yahoo.com

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Personally, I love the black haired look on you, but I know you didnt ask your our opinions so, I used the L'Oreal kind, I forgot exactly what its called but its in a silver box.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

first off- you're gorgeous either way! the black does NOT look like a wig at all! you look awesome! it totally brings out your eyes! do NOT do an at home bleach especially just after you died! you'll have NO hair at all! wait a week at least- besides the dark will fade a little. make sure you use a good moisturizing conditioner. the dark hair makes you look older and sultry. ROCK IT!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Honestly, I like the second picture a lot better than the first.

But if you must, I don't know that dying your hair again is going to work. I have very dark hair (I'm 1/2 greek, and 1/2 italian. So think as dark brown as you can get withou t it being black.) and even the blondest of kits would turn my hair, at it's best, orangeish brownish. haha.

You might just have to save your money and go to a professional. : /

You're very pretty, too.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

I agree with the first person you are very pretty and the color actually looks good on you!!!! If you absolutely hate it. Leave it for a week so that it will start to dull down a bit (get rid of the beautiful shine that dying hair gives you) then try dying it a very light brown. The Dark with the light should tone it back down for you. If you are ok with it just not the spots, dye it the same color again just dont leave it on as long as you only need to cover the spots that got missed.

Hope this helps you out.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

1 oz. bleach powder

1 oz. developer (20 volume)

1 oz. shampoo (professional, not otc drugstore stuff)

1 oz. bottled water

in a squirt bottle

wet hair down completely and shampoo from the ends to the root area with this concoction. because you have long hair you might need 2 oz. of each.

your hair WILL be dry so you will NEED a trim (at least) and a good conditioning treatment once or twice a week.

and NO MORE HOME HAIR COLORING

color makes color go darker - ALWAYS

the only way to get color out is with bleach/hilite mixture

my God those are beautiful eyes!!!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Ohhhhh.....that IS drastically darker. I would recommend instead of spending your last $30 at the drug store, try going to Sally Beauty Supply. Their prices are significantly cheaper, AND they can give you instructions.

You are a very pretty young lady, by the way, and I agree that the lighter color would look better on you. Much less "harsh".

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

is that you? well if that is you i think yo ulook pretty with black hair! and if you really wanna fix it you can get a hair stripper from walgreens i forget the brand but you just have to find it its in the hair dye aisle also! and while you at it you should pick up a box of brown dye bc no telling what god awful color the hair stripper will leave u with, BUT i advise you to sit in frobnt of the mirror bc the hair striipper will take your color out QUICK! you want it to take you to about an orange something light enough to where you can just put brown over it! and your defintly gonna want to do alot more deep conditioning treatmeants from now on! i did my sisters hair when she wanted to have black hair like mine then she flipped out and wanted her brown hair back! it worked well for her tho =) so i help it helps you out =) good luck xo xo

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

DONT BLEACH!!! I have bleached. it leaves ur hair very weak. the black hair on u doenst look bad a t all. I woulod wait 3-4 months then get a clairol hair dye and dye it very light brown. not blond--it will turn ur hair green. Seriously-black hair doenst look bad on u. hope this helps!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

according to the pictures you are so beautiful either way i love the exotic black look, but if it is spotty, use baby shampoo and wash twice a day, so unfair is when you bleach highlights into your hair and dye dark over it you risk the highlights coming in on the tips green as the dye wears off. here is the real advise here, don't do anything but wash it. don't risk damaging the great hair by putting anymore chemicals on it. i know it feels and looks weird to you now but a couple of weeks goes by fast and baby shampoo or dandruff shampoo will strip it quicker. believe me either way your beautiful and it will tone down. (i've been there) sitting in the sun helps too!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

At this point, the best thing you can do is to continue to work on getting your hair healthy. Buy infusium DEEP conditioner. Also, buy a hair treatment (for 1 time use).

You do NOT want your hair to start breaking off!!! And it will if you keep using products like dyes on it.......

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

in all honesty, your hair in the pic doesn't look that bad. the first thing I noticed is that you need to get it cut...

you have a few options though:

1) go to a beauty supply store like Sally and ask the sales clerk for a product that will remove the color. you have too many chemicals in there.

2) go to drugstore and get 2 bottles of black color and do it up.

i dunno what you did but when you color your hair next time,

your hair should be DRY and not freshly washed. Not greaseball-like either, just not freshly washed. it'll take in your hair better.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

honestly it looks good on you at least on the pic it does... you are more bold with the black hair i suggest you keep the black because it will take a while for it to wear off also striping your hair might do you a number since you have to do it yourself it may be better if you get a clear rinse by jazzing it's a product of carol or you might want to try a jet black one it's sold at any professional hair store for like 3.99 or so.. i don't know where your are from but there is a chain of stores by the name of sally's or maybe your neighborhood hair store may carry it anyway good luck girl.. and to me your working that black hair!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

You are such a beautiful girl, and the darker hair is very flattering... makes your blue eyes really stand out! Color remover might leave you with an orange tint, and bleaching your entire head could end up a big mess since you're hair is so long. I know you say you can't afford to go to a salon, but I think you'd be even more unhappy if you tried to fix it at home and something bad happened. The dark color will likely fade quickly, but in the meantime, try using a clarifying or deep-cleansing shampoo for a while. It might help strip the color a bit, just more gently. I don't think your hair looks like a wig at all!
