Would it be okay to bleach my dyed hair?

Right now I have some permanent hair dye still in my hair, as it didn't fully come out when I used some color remover.

All I want to do is bleach the bottom half of my hair at the back so I can dye it purple. :]

No! Don't bleach it. It'll become stiff and brittle, and after a while (a week or so) it'll break off. I suggest getting a salon color-remover job (it's fairly inexpensive) and just have them do the bottom half. It'll save your hair! (Trust me, it happened to my friend!)

OK if you don't want to lose all your hair from the insane amount of damage you have already done to it.... let it grow out back to a healthy state--then you can mess with it again

okay...so if u wanna dye your hair purple..then its okay to bleach it. But u said ur hair was dyed black? Be carefull, coz u can really damage your hair. When u dye it some paritucular crazy color like purple...there are times when the dye works when the color is darker. Hope this helps...

goodluck. i would not reccommend it though. bleach will kill your hair. i bleached my hair blonde back when i was 16. and now i'm 21 and my hair has never been the same since. it dried it out and brittle and it breaks easily. my adivce. don't do it.

Im assuming your color on the bottom is darker than the purple would be. In that case it would need to be bleeched however there are safer ways to do this that would also keep the integrity of your hair in mind.........while no chemical service is always the best idea for your hair their are ways to do this in a more healthy manner.

first up i would leave my hair for a little while after using the colour remover to let your PH Balance level out

second if you bleach the bottom part and then ad colour .

if you don't like the results get a cut .

its just the bottom part of your hair its the first part to come off if you were to get a cut anyways
