Best Hair Coloring Products?

My hair wont take hair coloring bought from drugstores, so would sallys beauty be the next resort?

I need a color remover then a color to put over it (double process)

and no i cannot go to salon, i did my research called all nearest salons and the starting price to remove color from my hair is 250 (my hairs thick)

Best Hair Coloring Products?

yes, you should try Sally's,and they got good prices. when you go in you should ask for help and make sure what you get will not damage your hair. also read all directions before use. i read all products before i buy because some products you can't use together.

Best Hair Coloring Products?

I'd definately check out sally's. I don't know what they're like in your area, but everyone that works there answers all my questions whenever I go in.

Best Hair Coloring Products?

color removers are very damaging. unless your hair is black, you probably wont need one. You cant put color on color to make it lighter, but there are other options than a color remover to do so. Such as a heavy highlight, and then tone it to the color you were wanting to acheive. If price is an problem, you could do a partial heavy highlight, and then have that toned, and it should be much cheaper for you, and will have a lovely result. It will have alot of dimension to it as well, rather than a one color.

Best Hair Coloring Products?

Professionally I would never recommend a remover first. You may need heat during your processing time. The salon was quoting you a color removing price- not a simple coloring price. You don't need to color remove. They have the proper chemicals and training to color your hair the way you want it. For extra thick hair most salons only charge $10-15 more if at all. I am also wondering if you have put a darker color on first and then are trying to lighten it with another color. That doesn't work for anyone- professional or not. In that case you need to highlight through it.

Hair dying? 2 questions?

I highlighted my hair awhile ago, and I want to get rid of the blonde.

* Does "oops" work? I heard it was a hairdye remover?

I was thinking of getting black tips or dying the underneath layer of my hair black.

* Would it look good? I have dark auburn hair.

** don't tell me I'm in the wrong section, I want a teen's opinion and this is the only section I'm ever in [besides the occasional P%26amp;S]

Hair dying? 2 questions?

Okay hun, this is weird earlier my friend got her hair done from brown and blonde to black underneath i swear shes turning emo but thats not the point. No oops will not work, i have tried everything and my sister is a hardresser, you need to get your hair done at the hairdresser and get a pre pigmentation, where they remove all the blonde dye from your hair, it wont cost too much and you should get discounted if under 18 anyway. Also you should definately get the b;lack done at the hairdresser too, as the bl;ack could mereg and wont last long and now i never do my own dying because it never last and might look bad. Ask for balck tips and underneath you hair too. A pre pig is the best answer. I promise you. Good luck x

Hair dying? 2 questions?

The hair dye remover probably wont work because your hair was not really dyed when it was highlighted. Highlighting is using bleach to strip the color out of the hair shaft. Blonde hair is not really a color, it is the absence of color. I had this same problem last weekend. My hair girl streaked the **** out of my hair and I looked like a tiger. So I bought dye --ammonia free non permanent in a dark brown shade. It worked really well. Make sure you do the strand test and time it, so you know how long to leave it to get the desired result. I would be careful with the black--could turn orange. Just do the test first!!! good luck. I am not a teenager, hope that is okay.

Hair dying? 2 questions?

I'm not sure about "Oops" because I have never tried it, but honestly, I would just head down to the hair salon because you can make little mistakes get worse. I remember when my friend dyed her hair brown, but it turned black...she thought that by putting highlights in it, it would make it look brighter...she had ORANGE highlights because of that mistake, so she went to the hair salon and they fixed it because they know what they're doing...my friend did not.

Hair dying? 2 questions?

I don't think that the "oops" would work, because your hair is only highlighted. When you go to your hairdresser, ask them to remove the highlights.

The black underdying, would look like Jamie Lynn Spear's hair on the cover of OK! Magazine.

Bleached hair?

I bleached my hair and now it is pink and blonde. How do i get the pink out? A toner? But i want it to be platinum blonde, what should i do? Wait awhile and use a color remover to get the pink out or use that shampoo for blonde hair, i think it's called shimmer lights. Has anyone had this situation and how do i get the hair I want?

Bleached hair?

SOUNDS like You REALLY Messed Up Your Hair ! !

So NOW; You R SIMPLY Going 2 (HAVE) to Go 2 a PROFESSIONAL 2 get Your Hair TAKEN CARE OF ! !

Bleached hair?

You may need to ask a pro, especially if you were trying to bleach hair that has already been dyed or lightened. The shampoo won't get rid of the pink. I don't have any experience with color remover, but toner might help.

Bleached hair?

I'm not quite sure why it would be pink, but I use So Silver shampoo to make mine platinum. The shampoo is bright purple.

Shaving question?

After I shave my legs they are picky again right away. I always get goosebumps and it seems to make the hair stand out more.

I use the Venus razor.

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to keep my legs smoother longer? Different razor, hair remover??

Shaving question?

the best hair remover i use is veet u can get it frm chemists or shops i like using the pink one coz it dnt shave the hairs it desolves them so it will keep u smother for longer normaly the hairs grow back in about 3 weeks if thats ok, gd luck and stop shaving coz all that does is make the hairs grow back faster and thiker thats y i never shave i veet

GOOD LUCK!!

it will work

Shaving question?

go for a good hair remover.

Shaving question?

I find my legs feel nicest if i use a cheap bic type razor but instead of using shaving foam, I use mositurizer or hair conditioner, It keeps my legs soft afterwards.

Always moisturize after sahving.

Shaving question?

why don't u wax or use shaving cream aswell

Shaving question?

Waxing.

Shaving question?

Other then waxing, which is expensive and painful, there are really no ways to keep your legs smooth for more then 2 days. I know it sucks, I have to shave every other day, and mine are even picky on the first day...

Shaving question?

put lotion on after your legs dry.

also the venus razor is pretty good i use it.

make sure your blade is still sharp.

also you can try using skintamites shaving gel. it helps. trust me.

Shaving question?

hair remover i just switched from shaving to hair remover it lasts longer

Shaving question?

try nair!

Shaving question?

When I shave I use Skin So Soft by Avon. It's kind of oily but it works really well!! Also instead of shaving in the shower, try shaving AFTER you get out of the shower or fill the bath tub up a bit and do it that way because I find if I shave in the shower when my leg is out of the hot water for a few and then when I am done and it hits that warm water again, I get goosebumps. Also like everyone else said, waxing or a good hair remover. If you wax try Nads because I've heard that stuff doesn't hurt. If you use a hair remover try Veet. Hope this helps! I know how it is. . . I have the same problem!

Shaving question?

There is one handy machine called applicator, it is better than waxing or threading. after shaving u must use some cold cream top sooth.

Shaving question?

hair remover smells REALLY bad,, but it does work. also, if u dont already, use shaving cream, and make sure ur razor is at least double bladed, but triple is better :]

hope i helped. :]]

Shaving question?

shave them in the shower after you are done washing and still totally wet use a little bath soap and a razor shave against the grain as it cuts lower on the hair shaft. And you should not get ingrowns as long as you shave 2 or 3 times a week. Keep your razor rinsed while shaving and make sure your legs stay very wet. after patting dry apply a moisturizor. You will be smooth like a baby. Oh yes don't forget to change your razor blade frequently. A dull blade won't work as well.

Shaving question?

Try a diffrent shaving cream and put lotion on your legs. It helps me. also make sure your razor is sharp :-)

Hair color keeps washing out?

I have medium brown hair. I dyed it dark blonde and didn't like the orange hightlights so I used a haircolor remover kit and then dyed it to light brown and the color keeps washing out turning the orange color that it was after I used the haircolor remover. When I dye it to med. brown it turns black with orange in it. Does anyone know how I can get my hair back to med. brown and keep it. any info. would be greatly appreciated.

Hair color keeps washing out?

Try using a color with ash in it. Like medium ash brown. It'll take the red out of your hair. If that doesn't work, go to a stylist and they can match their colors with your natural hair color and their color is stronger then just over the counter.

Hair color keeps washing out?

Well I did exactly what the "best answer" suggested. I got the medium ash brown and did a strand test. It only took five min. to get the color I needed and hopefully this color won't wash out. I do use shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Report It

Hair color keeps washing out?

Personally, I would recommend not trying to process your hair anymore by yourself and going to a professional. At this point your hair is probably over-processed and damaged so seek a professional to help rectify this before serious damage occurs to your hair or there won't be any fixing it as you will either have to let it grow out some or cut it. Good luck.

Hair color keeps washing out?

i would go to a professional at this point..they can fix your hair and make it look the way you want it to

Hair color keeps washing out?

It might depend on the shampoo you are using. You need to be using a shampoo and conditioner that are for color-treated hair. Any other kind would strip the color out.

Hair color keeps washing out?

Hi, I am a hairstylist and I just want you to know that if you continue doing what you are doing, your hair won't turn colors anymore. You'll have to grow it out and start over. Go to the salon as soon as you can. Hope this helps!

Hair color keeps washing out?

go to sallys beauty supply store and buy the clear filler and leave on for at least 20 minutes and do not rinse off, apply your color from there

Nail Glue in Hair?

Ok, this was probabley the stupidest thing I've done. I have this costume where I have to glue ears to my head. Well, for yesterday I did it but I need the glue out ASAP. I cant cut my hair and I tryed vegetable oil, peanut butter, mayo, vinigar, and fingernail polish remover. I dont have olive oil. Again I'd like solutions that dont involve hair cutting! Thanks

Nail Glue in Hair?

Try nail polish remover and make sure it's acetone. It might help but ive never tried it. Also i don't know what effects it would have on your hair. When i was in cosmetology school someone put this girls extensions in with nail glue. Not a good thing. after 2 days the girl couldn't get the extensions out and ripped some of the scalp off as well as hair and ended up having to go to the hospital. Good luck. if i think of anything else i'll let you know. Sorry i skipped over the polish remover part when i read you post

Try conditioner. It works for extension glue so its worth a shot anyway

Nail Glue in Hair?

If finger nail polish remover doesn't work; I don't know. Can you change the look of the ears to look like something else until you can get them out? Make them look like bows or etc.

Nail Glue in Hair?

try going to a beauty supply store and get hair glue remover

i would basically try anything to get nail glue out of my hair

question?? why would you do that its like putting super glue in your hair ya know?

Nail Glue in Hair?

This will sound crazy if you have never seen extensions taken out. Take a pair of needle nose plyers and squeeze the glue between them and bend the bonded part back and forth clamping and unclamping the plyers in a swift motion the bond should turn loose and you can kind of scrape the glue particles off the hair shaft by pulling it towards the end of your hair. Maybe use the acetone during this process. Good luck.

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

Hi. My skin color is a medium warm olive/golden brown, and I have relaxed hair. I dyed it 閳ユ笜atural black閳?about 5 months about, and now about 2 inches of new growth have come in, but you can閳ユ獩 really tell. My hair is normally a medium brown, but now it閳ユ獨 a dark brown. I wanted to dye my hair a warm copper brown. I wanted to know how I could go about doing that. Would I have to get a color remover ? Or would I have to lighten it before applying the dye ? My hair is somewhat brittle also, and I was wondering if I should get a protein pack or something. And I really don閳ユ獩 want to go to a professional. :/

Thanks :D

( This is the color I want : http://www.wopvideos.com/imgvideos/grand... )

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

Bring a picture of the color that you want, and go to your hair stylist.

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

eat lots of vanilla pudding.get the natural stuff.its got a chemical reaction with the natural vanilla bean.and as a result the pigment in your hair called melanin.

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

You would have to get a color remover first so you could remove all the black out of your hair %26amp; then you would have to dye it the color you want. As for your hair being brittle use a hot oil treatment they work get %26amp; you can get that at almost any store! I love the color you picked.. good luck!

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

Maybe you would have to lighten it before applying the dye and you should find a hair dye that color your hair a warm copper brown in stores like Target or Wallgreens. Also, use a hot oil treatment if yor hair brittle that the stylist can do in the hair salon or do it yourself at home with that stuffs from the store.

How can I get my hair a warm copper brown ?

please....go to a salon had have it done. tell them what color or show them a picture of what you want. they have ways of taking color off and putting color on that you can't do yourself. they can also deep condition and give you recommendations on what to use at home...if you are set on doing it yourself, you will most likely need to remove the previous color (black doesn't color over well), and then use the color that you want. please keep in mind though....the colors on the box are not always how they come out on the head. trust me on that one. also, the color strippers are VERY hard to do yourself (i know this for a fact. i once used one and ended up looking like a calico because parts of my hair didn't take to the product at all, some didn't take as well and some took so well my hair was white....hence, dark, orange and white...a calico) and you could most likely end up at a salon having it fixed...not to mention the breakage that can happen....(your hair can literally break off.)

As far as conditioners go...I recommend Biolage deep conditioner...it's kinda pricey as far as they go, and you have to buy it from a salon, but girl it's the BEST. also use a light spray on leave in...i believe Biolage makes one of those too, but Pantene or anything else works well. use them whenever you wash your hair...also use a moisturizing shampoo along with the conditioners and in about a week or 2 you should start to see results. you can also try Vo5 hot oil treatments but i've never really had much success with them.

hope this helps and good luck.

My hair is DEAD.?

my hair..is completely dead.

i used to chemically straighten it..i dont anymore..

about a month ago I put extensions in..

I bought glue remover and all the glue still hasnt came out..

I then tried to get all the black out of my hair..

so my hair turned orange..bleck..

but it looks kinda good..

now my hair is all brittle and sticking together and nothing is helping me..

im scared to get my hair cut short..its like 3 or 4 inches past my shoulder now and I look really bad with short hair..

I dont know what to do..

any suggestions?

My hair is DEAD.?

Correct English is "My Hair HAS DIED"

My hair is DEAD.?

well its your fault for doing all that stuff to your hair

u have 2 options

1 .deal with it and try a conditioning treatment to see if that helps

2. cut it

My hair is DEAD.?

First-take vegetable oil, any kind, I use olive-warm it slightly and slather it on your hair. Wrap cling wrap around it and then a towel. Leave for 30 minutes, then wash until it no longer feels oily. Repeat this once a month. Use a good conditioner-Pantene, Aussie, if you can find it Swiss Formula Hair Repair.

Have the ends trimmed frequently. Hopefully these steps will improve your hair to where you can stand it until the damage grows out. In the future I would concentrate on enjoying my healthy, shiny hair in it's natural color and length : )

My hair is DEAD.?

well, first of all, all hair technically is is dead extruded protein strands, so I don't think it was ever alive in the first place xb but literal comments aside, if you want to get better looking hair, do this :

conditioner only. it may sound crazy to people who are used to harsh shampoos, but it's not, it's brilliant- cheap conditioners, with no silicones added, can condition the hair and also gently lift dirt and oils, as long as you leave it on for a long time. what do you is get a cheapo condish (white rain, suave, v05, etc) glop handfulls of it onto your hair until it feels slimy, and leave it on for 10 minutes at the least. rinse very very well. many people have found this to be a miracle for their hair.

avoid all bleaching, coloring, straightening, curling, blowfryers, all of that. those are all what "kill" hair beyond no return.

now your hair is already damaged pretty bad, and you say you don't want to cut it short, so instead of doing a big chop- get a small, 1/2 inch or so trim every 2 weeks.

eat a healthy diet, lots of protein, so your virgin hair grows out healthy and beautiful- and finally, don't put your new virgin hair through the little hell you did upon the hair you have now. oh, and I'll tell you right now, anything promised to be a "quick fix" is EXTREMELY likely to only end up damaging your hair further. hope that helped..

My hair is DEAD.?

Go see your hairstylist.

Removing hair extensions?

Don't let anyone use acetone(nail varnish remover) to break down the bonds - it isn't good for your hair. Rub vaseline in and leave for half an hour (or overnight) Perfect!!

Removing hair extensions?

this is the first time i've seen anyone post a question and answer it aswell!!!!

what's that all about??

Removing hair extensions?

Does vaseline really work? I have bonded extension for about 3 1/2 months now and I want them out! emai me if you have had this experience and what you did ......thanks Report It

Removing hair extensions?

thank you my daughters buys her own hair xtentions and glues them in herself, but struggles each time to get them out each hairwash

i will pass on your tips

Removing hair extensions?

This sounded like an advert. You should put ordinary vaseline in tubs and put a different label (Your name or whatever), and sell it for a fiver a tub. I don't doubt that people will buy it and no one will suss that it is really vaseline.

Removing hair extensions?

I just picked mine out after soaking my hair in as hot water as i could stand still took hours though.

At- Home color remover?

I am a red head and I died my hair dark brown. I've tried washing my hair w/ dawn soap, using red expressions shampoos, re-dying over it, and I don't have the money to get it professionally stripped. Would At-home color remover be too much of a risk to use?

At- Home color remover?

If you want red hair back, your best bet is to re-dye your hair red. Go to the nearest beauty outlet and invest in mixing dye, creme and a bowl and brush. Also get powder lightener to mix with the creme mixer apply it to your hair. Wash and let dry, or blow dry. And then mix the colour and re-dye your hair red. Stripping your hair can be damaging, I have been there when hair falls out because of WAY too much peroxides and it's not good. The sales associates at the beauty outlet will be able to help you in finding the colour closest to your natural shade. So when your hair grows in you won't be able to see the difference.

Hair removal?

Are there any ways of naturally removing hair, without shaving or buying waxes or removers? I have really sensitive skin, and those things bother me...

Hair removal?

Have you tried Nad's hair removal gel? It's made from all natural products. You may find (as we all do) that your skin is red and sensitive immediately afterwards, but that generally goes away. Also, try taking Tylenol or ibuprofen at least 1 hour before waxing- it helps to reduce inflammation. Your only other option is to get your tweezers out and pluck every one of those little suckers out at a time- tediously time consumming and more painful than the all-at-once method. Otherwise, you'll have to embrace your natural self!

Hair removal?

They do make shave gels specifically for sensitive skin. You're pretty much ruling everything out - you can't just wish hair away.

Hair removal?

Yes I've heard of something called threading and sugaring.... And I actully know someone who has had the threading done. Her brows look great... I hope these links help..

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

About a year ago I started sprouting hair in odd places! I'm 21. I started growing a darker moustache. And hair along the bottom part of my cheeks, under my chin and down my neck. Like a beard!!! It's that THAT think or long. I have litish dark hair. It's not noticable unless your looking there. I do have a few long thick really black hairs that sprout up though, and those ARE noticable. Also, on my hands. I never had hair on the top. It stopped at the wrist. Now it's traveling up my hand, towards the base of my thumb. And then I discovered a lone hair at the top of the fatty part of my palm at the base of my pinky. What is up with all this hair??? I've always been hairy, "down there" and such, but it's never been on my face like this! What do I do? I use cream remover, but it's back within a week! Why is this happening and what can I do about it?

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

See your OB/ Gyn for hormone tests. You might have polycystic ovarian syndrom. There is medication for it. Please read this info:

http://www.medicinenet.com/polycystic_ov...

Hope this helps you!

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

I wish I knew. I have the same problem on my face. Supposedly electrolysis and laser therapy would work but I can't afford either. Waxing may help remove it longer than just the creams, but it will still come back.

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

It's certainly a hormonal issue. You probably have too much testosterone in your system. See a doctor.

In the meanwhile, use the hair remover cream, and also use Aveeno Positively Smooth - it's a lotion that slows hair growth on your face.

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

I would agree that you need a hormone test. If you are getting hair on your palm then you need to leave it there and go to the doctor.

In the meantime, waxing is the best way to get rid of the hair. It pulls hair out from the root and it will grow back thinner. If you continue to use hair removal cream or start shaving, you are likely to end up with beard like hair.

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

You know, thats fairly funny an I've had the same experience of late, older I get, more hair in -under places. I used to like hair, you know, Woodstock, etc., cool then, cumbersome now. Then theres hair in my nose, now my ears, what a drag! My wife says, oh honey, I'll remove it with my HOT WAX Kit! Not in anyones lifetime am I letting anyone put hot wax down "there". My suggestion to you is GOOD LUCK!!

Growing hair in unusual places all of a sudden?

it will get worse and ull look like this unfortunately.

This is very un-healthy for your hair.

HELP my hair looks like mud????

Have you ever used color oops?

I dyed my hair a violet red the darkest shade of red by Joico as suggested by my teacher ( i wanted only a red tone...i should have gone with the toner instead) so what happened is i turned a violet black...i went to Sallys and got a 30 volume developer...i dyed my hair an light auburn...i believe that removed a slight amount of purple but now much...per suggestion of the manager at Sallys she suggested this over a color remover...because i know most color removers contain bleach which in essence is a soap cap...so the end result is a burgundy violet black that i currently have...now my hair had been dyed two weeks ago a shade of brown i wish i had kept...which was covering up the "chocolate" shade my class dyed my hair which really turned pink but faded to a nasty copper orange...i know my real hair color is long gone since my class did a soap cap on me...which was a pain...but its sooo damn dark...i don't know if i should just ride it out and use the

HELP my hair looks like mud????

Maybe you should beach it into a platinum blode colour and then dye it to a shade very close to your old shade. Use some really good shampoos and coniditior and I think you should be fine. Maybe next time try red lowlight or something like that?

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

In an effort to save $100 I colored my own hair. My natural color is honey blonde/light brown, I wanted low-lights for the winter so I colored it myself and it turned out black. I bought a color remover kit and I need to know if it will turn my hair back to its natural color. I can't live with black hair, it doesn't suit me. So will the at home kit work or do I need to go to my stylist?

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

ACK! Sweetie, I've been through this! I have messed with, and messed up my hair so many times. You ARE going to want to see a professional. You really can't mess with black hair on your own. I don't even recommend stripping it, because like so many people said, it will FRY your hair and then you will just have to grow out all of it for it to be healthy again. If you want the best advice from someone who has done everything in the world to her hair, just leave it alone for a month. It should fade to a lighter brown, most dyes do fade after a month. Then dye it a light brown and you should be ok.

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

I've never used one so I'm not sure. You may just have to suck it up and go to a salon. I'd be worried I would end up turning my hair orange or something...

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

If you use it within 24 hours it will work some.. Black is very hard to get out. I'd suggest going to see your stylist for advice.

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

wash your hair with laundry detergent to get as much of the color out as possible. You will need to use TONS of conditioner after wards or your hair will turn to hay.

You are still going to have to go back to your stylist to get it fixed probably.

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

i thought you were talking about strippers. lol

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

I used one before, it bleached my hair out. My natural color is brown, it turned out almost white and I didn't leave it in for very long. It took me 3 months to get my hair back moisturized after using the color stripper. My hair felt like straw, broke off and fell out. It almost ruined my hair. I spent more money trying to fix it than I would have spent having it done professionally to start with. My advice is to spend a little extra and get it done right.

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

I am in favor of strippers. They are good people as well, just trying to pay their way through college. Oh, was this hair related? My bad!

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

I would go to the stylist

do you color your hair often? to many chemicals will damage your hair, being unfamiliar with a removal kit I would not do it myself..

but I wish you all the best

you still are a sexy woman to me no matter what color your hair is ..

I never knew what color your hair was cause you are bald bellow.. ummmm finger licking good.

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

Do at-home hair color strippers really work?

What should I do about over dyed hair?

I just permed my hair, but i dyed it like twice once a blonde color than a jet black n top of it. how long should i wait till i dye it again, or should I just use a color remover?

What should I do about over dyed hair?

Girl you better run to the beauty salon and get a deep conditioner and anything else they say. I did this before and alot of mt hair came out they may have to cut some of it but .what do you prefer? short or bald?

What should I do about over dyed hair?

Color removers will only damage your hair more. Leave it alone for now. Also, deep condition your hair once or twice a week. This means leaving conditioner in your hair as long as possible. Ex: If you have a day off and youre staying home all day, put on the conditioner in the morning, maybe put a shower cap on top of your hair so it doesnt drip, and wash it out before you go to sleep. Again, you have to leave it in as long as possible, so if you don't have that much time just know that the longer you leave the conditioner in, the better the results.

This will help repair some of the damage. Wait a couple of months untill your hair is restored before you dye it again.

What should I do about over dyed hair?

I would say leave it or end up bald

What should I do about over dyed hair?

Oh my god leave it alone. You will never be able to get out jet black hair on your own. I know I've tried. You must go to a professional, she can tell you if you hair is even strong enough right now for her to do anything with it. If your hair isn't strong enough you must take care of it using leave in conditioners and things like that. I dyed my hair a very dark brown color and it took about a year to become a blonde again. Please don't do anything else to it!!

What should I do about over dyed hair?

Why does every one go black? It looks bad on everyone whose hair isn't naturally that color. Blonde too! Sorry, dye your hair brown w/ blonde and copper highlites (thin strands) and don't use color remover. Before you go mad with coloring your hair, please try a semi/ demi permanent color or the kind that fades as you was it. Use mayo as a conditioner and it will restore all of the moisture that you lost when you colored it. Please take my advice!!!

What should I do about over dyed hair?

Leave it and just wash your hair but you shoud try using the one for damaged hair though that will make it better

What should I do about over dyed hair?

your hair needs to get back into shape before you decide to color your hair again. You must know a color remover is just like putting another hair color on your hair. You need to wait AT LEAST 3-4 MONTHS before you color your hair again. In between that time you need to do a WEEKLY hot oil treatment to repair your hair.

What should I do about over dyed hair?

i would wait and get a moisturizing conditioner!

Hair dye question help!?

okay so ive been dying my hair now for around 2 years.

and ive had alotta different colors

from black to platinum blonde

but now im ready to go back to my natural color

and im going to grow it out but i want to dye my hair back to as close to the natural color as i can so it doesnt look to weird growing it out

( my natural color is a golden blonde sort of like this

http://www.herbatint.co.uk/img/swatches/... )

im wondering if i had my hair platinum blonde and then dyed black over it will my hair even lighten up to be that color ? or is it going to turn an orangey color

right now my hairs a dark brown with a redish tint to it

because i used color remover and then dyed over to get the black out

anyways

advice please?

i am getting this done professionally i just need to know if its going to be possible or not!

Hair dye question help!?

they'll probably be able to do it, you definitely need to have it done professionally. A professional may advise you to do something else or do it in steps. In any case, it'll take a toll on your hair and you're going to need to deep condition, etc.

I've done all sorts of crazy stuff to my hair. I'm naturally blonde. I then went golden blonde, deep auburn, bleach blonde, regular blonde.... so drastic is possible.

Good luck. Also remember, it'll probably be expensive!

Hair dye question help!?

Since your hair is so many different colors you should go to a professional. If you put black on top of platinum blonde you will have black hair. The best way to do this is get it done professionally. More than likely they will bleach out all your hair and then put a blonde on top to ensure correct color. It is not best to try to bleach your hair out yourself .

Hair dye question help!?

dont dye it emo colors

How do I get hair dye off my table?

Some of the hair dye spilled on the table of ours its wooden with a shine to it like it feels glossy. Well the hair dye spilled on the table and we tried nail polish remover and its not coming out. Help!?

How do I get hair dye off my table?

If you have tried nail polish and failed, then try petrol or other solvent. Be careful. Best thing is leave it as it is. It clears on its own, with in 2 weeks.

How do I get hair dye off my table?

try water.soap.dish cleaner and nail polish remover.do not mix togther

How do I get hair dye off my table?

Mr.Clean magic eraser. You can get it from target, walmart,or sams club. otherwise get Clorox Wipes. if none of that works get som alcohol and soap and rub it off.

How do I get hair dye off my table?

the best way to remove dye is dye itself 'spill' somemore and whipe it up right a way it may take a little elbow grease or you can use deluted bleach.

How do I get hair dye off my table?

Try rubbing alcohol. It depends how bad you want the stain out. You can try getting that rough scrubbing material and soap then scrubbing it first. If that doesn't work use the alcohol. It might leave a little stain but the gloss should prevent it. Alcohol is a last resort.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

i dyed my hair permanent black. can i lighten it with bleach even if its PERMANENT? i think the color has washed out completely since i wash my hair every day, and i dyed it like 2-3 months ago. or do i have to use the color remover thing? or is it the same if i bleach my hair? which do you recommend?

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

If you bleach your hair from black, it will take several times to get the black out and it will FRY your hair, I did it for my highlights.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

Yeah you can still lighten it with bleach. It will come out an orange-ish color though.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

Ugh I dyed my hair black too and nothing works but I'm scared to bleach it. It sucks. =( Everyone says my hair will die if I bleach it.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

it will be fried.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

bleaching dark brn or black hair will turn it orange...do NOT bleach dark hair...go to a salon and let someone dye it for you....(if you want it lighter..) (read the boxes..it tells you what NOT to do...)

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

yessssssss

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

I recommend not bleaching your hair while it's black.. no it didn't wash out... black doesn't wash out. I did this and then bleached it... it turned all shades of red and orange. I bleached my hair a few more times and couldn't get past the orange... I died it a purplish red color...

I had to continually die my hair to keep it from looking crazy. You should really seek a professional on this one... I ended up bleaching my hair about 8 more times... finally got it blond ad destroyed it in the process... same goes for trying to get red out..... I couldn't even get a brush thru my hair... I just cut it all off... it was really short...

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

You should go to a salon and get a color stripper. If they don't have them you can get a soap cap, which is a combo of bleach, developer, and shampoo. It's not as harsh on your hair as straight up bleach is. So if you don't want to go really light it will lift it up enough to color you hair a different color.

Lightening permanent hair color/dye (black)?

Please, please PLEASE don't use bleach. There's a good product out there called "Color Oops" which can be found at most drug stores. It won't trash your hair like bleach will. It will, however, make your hair more porous. I had dyed my hair black for many years and did the bleaching thing, which was a huge mistake and I ended up having to get my hair cut like a boy's and let it grow out again. I got tired of really dark hair and tried color oops which lightened it considerably but after you use it you're probably going to want to do another coloring. If your hair is still too dark you can do another application of Color Oops and apply a new shade of dye, but get a light shade or you'll probably end up with darker hair than you wanted. To achieve the light/medium brown shade that I have now, I had to use a dark blonde dye. I tried light brown before, but it actually made my hair dark brown. Anyway, whatever you do, AVOID BLEACH LIKE THE PLAGUE. And no, soap powder won' t take out black dye either. Good luck to you.

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

I'm Caucasian with wavy hair that won't curl or straighten without a lot of effort. I've had Thermal Reconditioning a long time ago, and it damaged my hair.

So I finally found something called One N Only Curl Remover. It's supposed to be thio free and damage free. Is it a good idea to use this? Will I get straighter hair or less frizz or anything?

Thanks!

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

No NO No no no.

Don't do it at home. I did it before I became a stylist not knowing what the chemicals were or how to use them and my hair turned into mush.

If your gonna get a relaxer done, go to a salon.

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

It will be alright as long as you haven't bleached a colored you hair much. You will get straight hair but the bad thing is if you have any break offs or split ends the will stick out and you lose a lot of volume. I have long curly hair and I straighten it once. Never again. I use ubsilk for frizzy hair it works great. I would use a electical straightener to see if you like it. Remember it won't stay straight forever even if it is chemically done. My only lasted two weeks. I had mine done professionally. I used store bought on my ex's and it did the same thing.

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

No it is not a good idea at all. For one thing any chemical you put on your hair damages it. You can burn yourself really badly if you get it on your scalp. One N Only is not as bad as other relaxers but you can damage it just as bad doing it yourself and set you on fire at the same time.

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

i do it with my sister at home all the time. she used to have hard thick and frizzy hair, but i made it sleek, soft, and shiny.all you need to do is read the directions carefully until you get EVERY SINGLE STEP READY. i really recommend you have a friend do it to you at home, since its really hard to do it yourself. and before you do anything, OPEN THE WINDOWS. the first step smells like crap. but the second step calms everything down.

Is relaxing your hair at home a good idea?

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO! Go to a salon. Those products if not used properly are VERY damaging to the hair. They react badly if you have had any other services done and your hair could get very damaged. When straightening, you have to apply it properly, or you could end up with limp hair or breakage. Go to the salon, for the price you pay there you could be possibly be paying in conditioners and treatments afterwards if something goes wrong. Trust me I have seen some very bad at home mistakes!

Goldwell color remover?

I have very long thick dyed black hair which i am sick of, i have just bought goldwell color remover and i was wanting to know if anybody knew how long to leave it on for and what shade do i have to wash the solution off? I'm hoping to go a medium brown with some honey highlights, am i being to optimistic? ;-)

Goldwell color remover?

I have been working with the goldwell color line for a couple of years now and i always use the goldwell color remover. all you do is mix solution 1 with soloution 2, apply all over your hair. you have to sit under a dryer for 25 minutes with a processing cap on for best results. after you must shampoo a good 2-3 times ( make sure you shampoo very well, for this will keep your color from darkening again) after shampooing you need to apply 40ml of colorance developer and leave on for 5 minutes. then you can proceed to do your coloring service.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

I dyed my hair lighter than my medium brown color and it turned out red. At Sally's they told me to get an ASH color that I liked so I chose ASH Dark Blonde and it turned out orange!. Im super tired of dealing with it , so I want to go back to my mediun brown and put some highlights as I used to have and looked really good.

What should I do:

- Use color remover, then put a medium ash brown?

- Bleach my hair, then put medium ash brown?

- Just put the medium ash brown??

What if I wanted to get rid of the red and go lighter instead of med brown? do I have to bleach it????

(NOTE: I CANT AFFORD A SALON. SINGLE MOM WITH TOO MANY BILLS.)

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

Bleach your hair then dye it ash brown.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

ok since you can't afford a salon (me eitehr) I mess wit my hair a lot too. i can't do ANYTHING blond..it turn's red... I typically pick something darker then I want...and it turns out fairly nice... ok new plan.. you bleach your hair.. make sur eit turns a lot lighter.. make sure you space things out.. don't dye your hair back to back... I wish i had of used wash out dye's back in teh day.. I've died my hair over 50 times now.. anyways... bleach it... then pick a nice brown you like... make sure there are NO HINTS of red in it... look at the hair samples on the back... if any have hints of red, dont get it.. dont get nice and easy, it's bad on your hair.. there's some good loriell at wal-mart for like 3 bucks.. those are nice..

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

no you just have to keep dying it every couple weeks just keep going lighter every time.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

If you can't go to a salon, you'll have a very tough time. Red is impossible to get out without salon quality treatments to strip your hair. But do the next best thing, look up beauty colleges in your town where they train people to style hair and whatnot. Usually they have a location that students can do your hair for low low prices. Tell them you want your hair treated with toner to get the red out, (toner is basically in the shampoo they'll use, it puts blue in your hair to cancel the red). Then tell them what color to dye your hair, and watch them like a hawk. They are students so the risk is that they might mess it up, but don't worry, I've actually been to them several times in my town, and they haven't done anything too bad yet. I always turn out looking great, but they don't always give me exactly what I want. Just make sure to voice any concerns and don't let them do anything you're not asking for. If it sounds wrong to you, it just might be, so trust your instincts.

Also, any over the counter dyes or treatments claiming to strip your hair color, they contain lots of amonia, and they wont do what you're looking for. I always recommend a salon for big color changes. Best of luck, I really hope this helps, I'm a college student, so I know all about hair care on a budget lol, I also had red hair lol

ps, that color removal you asked about using will bleach your hair, which is REALLY bad for it, especially since you're planning on coloring it afterwards. Don't do it, you'll destroy your hair and wind up worse than before.

How do I get rid of the red on my hair?

The salesperson at Sallys should be able to steer you to the right shade for you, IF she knows her stuff. In the Sally's around here, most of the sales help have had experience working in salons. They may even had a website where you can ask questions.

Depending on your skin tone, you may be using the wrong base color. Some colors have an orange or violet or blue "base".

I think you can also get stuff at Sally's that will tone out any red or "brassy" problems. BE CAREFUL with bleaching--it can make your hair brittle if it isn't done right and you may end up going bald--YIKES!

You've received some good advice from others, especially the person who suggested doing it in gradual steps.

Good luck! I'm sure you'll look great no matter what your hair color is.

Which Sally Hansen wax & gels have you tried?

Here is the list of products that I would like to know if anyone's tried:

http://www.sallyhansen.com/category.cfm?...

I have tried:

Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit for face, brows, bikini ...and the

Hair Remover Wax Strip Kit for body, legs, arms, bikini

so I'm not looking for reviews on those...I'm wondering which wax/gel kit from Sally Hansen to try next, so please share your opinions!

Which Sally Hansen wax %26amp; gels have you tried?

stay away from the sugar wax ones..its not on this list but all it does is make a sticky mess and does not remove any hair on your legs.....

Which Sally Hansen wax %26amp; gels have you tried?

the no-heat ones and the gel ones don't work very well for me. The extra strength brazilian bikini one was great.

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

I have unbelievably sensitive skin. Whenever I shave my legs they break out in little bumps and itch like crazy...all over. I literally lose at least 1 nights sleep every time I try to shave. At times it gets so intense that I have literally filled up a bathtub with ice cold water (and yes, with ice cubes) and sat in it to somehow hopefully numb my legs. I have used Sally Hanson hair remover, I have tried shaving with sensitive shaving cream and using the most sensitive razor available...I have tried using baby oil before during AND after shaving. I have tried taking allergy medication first (in case it was an allergic reaction.)

The result is always the same. Itchy burning bumps EVERYWHERE the razor or hair remover cream has touched. I have to wear jeans and slacks constantly and I'm tired of it. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, can you give me some ideas of anything I HAVEN'T tried?

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

A resounding YES. You have exactly the same problem I do. I had to switch to a men's rotary shaver to shave my legs. There's a trick to using it without getting breakouts, so bear with me as I give you the details.

Make sure your skin is clean and dry. I usually use the shaver after a shower and after my skin is very dry. Any moisture at all will make the shaver pull your hairs and cause a rash. I usually have an oscillating fan blowing on my legs as I shave. Pull your skin to make the area flat, since that will help you get the shaving over with sooner. If your legs aren't sweaty or don't have a lot of natural oils built up, you can shave them at that time without washing them. Sometimes I just don't have time to wash my legs and then wait for them to be dry enough. Often I'll shower at night and shave in the morning.

For the bikini line, I use a men's beard trimmer first, and I use it without the guide to trim the hair there as short as possible. Then I use the rotary shaver to shave the hair even closer if I'm going to be wearing a bathing suit in public. I don't use the roatary shaver if it's just me and my husband who will see it. (If you want a Brazilian look down there, avoid using the shaver. It just isn't capable of giving you a close shave there. The hair is too coarse.)

I have an aquatard for swimming, since I like to swim often. Shaving my bikini line too often makes me break out in a rash no matter what I do.

http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/2433... aquatard

If you absolutely refuse to use a dry shaver, you can try using plain aloe vera gel (clear, with nothing added). It's usually found near the sunscreens. Use a razor you like -- at least twin blade if not three or four. Just before you shower, apply the gel to your legs -- a small area at a time, since it can dry out. Shave as you normally would, rinsing the razor well between strokes. Rub in the excess then shower. I can usually do it once a month without breaking out.

Good luck.

If you need to talk to a doctor about your problem, you need a dermatologist and they can try to treat you with steroid creams. They got rid of my rashes, but couldn't prevent them. One reason you can't use the hair removing creams is because they have lanolin and a wealth of chemicals that literally dissolve hair and skin. You end up being exposed to allergens AND caustic chemicals.

http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries... What's in a bottle of Nair??

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

Sometimes it's hard to think outside the box. I only learned this method when my husband told my mother-in-law about my shaving issues. She's the one who told me about the shaver. :-) Just passing on the help she gave me. Take care, S. Report It

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

waxing may work.

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

No you don't HAVE to wear slacks or jeans all the time! You choose to! women in Europe don't shave and women here don't have to shave either, it's a choice! I'd look into lazer hair removal if it bothers you that much!

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

move to france. guys dig it there.

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

maybe iam not the right person to answer your question, but have you cansidered using a electric razor, maybe it wouldnt irritate your skin so much.

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

wow!!

ice cubes!!!???!?!

try NAIR the sensitive formula it dosent require a blade and it works for about 4 days or so!!

and go see a dermatologist and tell them about ur problem!! it sounds very serious! they also could recommend u somethin 2!!

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

Try laser hair removal. It is permanent hair removal and is a treatment under the laser once every 10 weeks for about 1 year. I had it done and it's great. You'll never have to shave again! It is pretty expensive and it hurts just a little bit (feels like a rubber band snap) but it's worth it. It cost me $800 to have my chin done but they run specials sometimes and you could get it for half the regular price.

Look in your phone book for places in your area that do it. Make sure you shop around and find a place that you trust and are comfortable with. Good luck!

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

laser hair removal

I can't shave and it's driving me crazy?

Have you tried shaving in a different direction? Sounds like razor burn. How Sharp is your razor, have you changed out razors during shaving? Have you tried different razors? Have you tried hair waxing? Have you tried different removal systems? Almost sounds like your really shaving too hard, but if its a skin issue. Try bleaching. Those are my suggestions.

Hair color removers-correctors?uncolor from Sally's beauty work?

any one know of any thing better?thats not going to a salon.

Hair color removers-correctors?uncolor from Sally's beauty work?

I have used that after an unfortunate experience with black hair dye. It claims to just remove dye and not natural color, but nothing can make hair as orange as mine was after this "Un-Color." What color are you trying to remove, and what was it before?

Hair color removers-correctors?uncolor from Sally's beauty work?

Try any semi-permanent color, either from Sally's or a drug store. They last about 28 washes, and will blend the blond with the brown. Pick a color close to your light brown for best results. Report It

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

Hi I had my hair highlighted 7 months ago (half head and hairdresser put in just a few thin stripes of bleach around my face and the rest was a hi -lift honey colour)). My natural colour is light brown. About 6 weeks ago I put streaks of permanent neutral light brown through the top to blend my routes. If I want to highlight my hair now, do I need to strip the colour. I want sand or honey highlights they don't need to be really blonde, its more to break up my hair and create texture as my hair is quite fine. So would I need to use a colour remover OR could I just go on and streak the hair and allow some reddish streaks to result alongside the blonde and do I need to use bleach to lift the colour for my highlights or is there something more gentle I could use / or even mix with a few small streaks of bleach?

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

You would be best to get highlights at the hairdressers as they will more than likely not turn out how you want at home. A good hairdresser will probably just give you highlights over the other dye, mine does anyway. I would defiantly not do it yourself though just to make sure you get the colour you want.

I want to highlight my hair, but recently streaked neutral light brown through to blend my roots?

OMG you need to talk to a professional b.c you do NOT want your hair to fall out-

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

I had glue in hair extension, used the remover oil, and now my hair is a greasy, slimy, black mess! Any suggestions/products that help get your hair back to normal?

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

Usually shampoo with baking soda works well. Just add about a teaspoon of baking soda to your shampoo and let it sit in your hair for about 10 mins. If that does not work, this sounds strange but, go to wal-mart in the car section. You will find Mechanics Hand Goop. This will work guaranteed. It is safe and non-toxic. It also removes Vaseline from hair. Safe enough for children too.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

wash it/go to a beauty shop

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

First just try a normal shower.. with lots of shampoo.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

hair remover. dont worry, it will grow back... as normal as u'd like it to be...

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

go it some glue remover and wash it and comb it at the same time

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

I would check out the beauty supply businesses, they should have glue remover. you could use mineral spirits sold at paint stores, but it highly flame-able! Beware, also check out the hardware stores. wash with dawn liquid detergent, leave it on a few minutes. I think extensions are fun but a mess in the long run. ... not worth the effort....

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

Go to your local Sally's Beauty Supply and buy some a product called cholesterol (i know it sounds funny). It is a product you put on your hair while it is dry and it is kind of oily. This may help get it out if shampoo or good old fashion dish soap doesn't work. Worst case the cholesterol will make your hair supper soft and conditioned.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

when my sis had glue in her hair she use a little alcohol and dabbed it on the hair and glue and it came off then she washed and condition it but u probably did to much to it already so head to the beauty shop (asap)

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

gurl just wash it good with shamppo

then u put coditioner in it and it shud slide out

but do it with the cond. in it

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

Hair bond remover.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

i think the alcohol will be a good idea then wash it with shampoo then put the conditioner.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

put peanutbutter in youre hair were the glue is, the glue should stick to the p/b. this works with bubble gum. If that doesn't work call Joseph Hazellwood,

the captain of the Exxon Valdez and he should be able to tell you what they used in the prince william sound debacle. good luck.

I need to get hair glue out of my hair????

Bond remover and a fine tooth comb....the wash your hair..... vaseline will make it come out but create a greasy difficult mess to get out of your head. You have to work the bond remover in really well and comb it out. I would get some extra bottles. You can follow up with a bond remover shampoo which only washes away residue from the bond remover.

My hair is naturally a medium-ish tinted brown, but last year i had it highlighted, then when my roots started to come in i died it back to a medium brown, which then still left light streaks everywhere

I now died it dark brown and it came out black

I look like i have a wig on (no exageration) and VERY spotty

What are the best at-home hair bleaches/color removers that have worked out the best for you??

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

I just answered pretty much the same questioned for another girl on here....here's my suggestion:

"Loreal Color Zap gently washes away all permanent haircolor. Ideal for color correction, removal of dark shades, muddy, uneven results or color build up. Leaves hair ready for immediate re-coloring. Loreal Effasol Color Remover washes away permanent haircolor, leaving hair ready for recoloring. Can be used with water or developer."

I read somewhere else where a girl had the same problem as you and she used a similar product to the Color Zap and she said that it lightened her hair so that she could dye it the lighter color that she wanted.

I hope it works out for you! I'll cross my fingers. Good luck sweetie!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

first offf you aree verryy pretty

and yes your hair is much darker but i really like it!!

ummm maybe loreal perfect blonde but leave it on for longer then 60 mins toherwise it will go orange otherwise im afraid you'll have to go for a pro

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Go to Sally's and tell them about your problem I'm sure they'll help. GOOD LUCK

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

The black makes you look older. I did mine and it came out black and it was suggested to me to use baking soda with my shampoo. Dont do that too often but it does help. Your brown hair was GORGEOUS if I could get that color for myself I would. You could also order henna from hennasooq.com and make a big difference without damaging your hair.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

u dont need a color remover or bleach. It will turn ur hair orange. Im a hair stylist if u in depth questions email me at pinky200626@yahoo.com

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Personally, I love the black haired look on you, but I know you didnt ask your our opinions so, I used the L'Oreal kind, I forgot exactly what its called but its in a silver box.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

first off- you're gorgeous either way! the black does NOT look like a wig at all! you look awesome! it totally brings out your eyes! do NOT do an at home bleach especially just after you died! you'll have NO hair at all! wait a week at least- besides the dark will fade a little. make sure you use a good moisturizing conditioner. the dark hair makes you look older and sultry. ROCK IT!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Honestly, I like the second picture a lot better than the first.

But if you must, I don't know that dying your hair again is going to work. I have very dark hair (I'm 1/2 greek, and 1/2 italian. So think as dark brown as you can get withou t it being black.) and even the blondest of kits would turn my hair, at it's best, orangeish brownish. haha.

You might just have to save your money and go to a professional. : /

You're very pretty, too.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

I agree with the first person you are very pretty and the color actually looks good on you!!!! If you absolutely hate it. Leave it for a week so that it will start to dull down a bit (get rid of the beautiful shine that dying hair gives you) then try dying it a very light brown. The Dark with the light should tone it back down for you. If you are ok with it just not the spots, dye it the same color again just dont leave it on as long as you only need to cover the spots that got missed.

Hope this helps you out.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

1 oz. bleach powder

1 oz. developer (20 volume)

1 oz. shampoo (professional, not otc drugstore stuff)

1 oz. bottled water

in a squirt bottle

wet hair down completely and shampoo from the ends to the root area with this concoction. because you have long hair you might need 2 oz. of each.

your hair WILL be dry so you will NEED a trim (at least) and a good conditioning treatment once or twice a week.

and NO MORE HOME HAIR COLORING

color makes color go darker - ALWAYS

the only way to get color out is with bleach/hilite mixture

my God those are beautiful eyes!!!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

Ohhhhh.....that IS drastically darker. I would recommend instead of spending your last $30 at the drug store, try going to Sally Beauty Supply. Their prices are significantly cheaper, AND they can give you instructions.

You are a very pretty young lady, by the way, and I agree that the lighter color would look better on you. Much less "harsh".

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

is that you? well if that is you i think yo ulook pretty with black hair! and if you really wanna fix it you can get a hair stripper from walgreens i forget the brand but you just have to find it its in the hair dye aisle also! and while you at it you should pick up a box of brown dye bc no telling what god awful color the hair stripper will leave u with, BUT i advise you to sit in frobnt of the mirror bc the hair striipper will take your color out QUICK! you want it to take you to about an orange something light enough to where you can just put brown over it! and your defintly gonna want to do alot more deep conditioning treatmeants from now on! i did my sisters hair when she wanted to have black hair like mine then she flipped out and wanted her brown hair back! it worked well for her tho =) so i help it helps you out =) good luck xo xo

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

DONT BLEACH!!! I have bleached. it leaves ur hair very weak. the black hair on u doenst look bad a t all. I woulod wait 3-4 months then get a clairol hair dye and dye it very light brown. not blond--it will turn ur hair green. Seriously-black hair doenst look bad on u. hope this helps!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

according to the pictures you are so beautiful either way i love the exotic black look, but if it is spotty, use baby shampoo and wash twice a day, so unfair is when you bleach highlights into your hair and dye dark over it you risk the highlights coming in on the tips green as the dye wears off. here is the real advise here, don't do anything but wash it. don't risk damaging the great hair by putting anymore chemicals on it. i know it feels and looks weird to you now but a couple of weeks goes by fast and baby shampoo or dandruff shampoo will strip it quicker. believe me either way your beautiful and it will tone down. (i've been there) sitting in the sun helps too!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

At this point, the best thing you can do is to continue to work on getting your hair healthy. Buy infusium DEEP conditioner. Also, buy a hair treatment (for 1 time use).

You do NOT want your hair to start breaking off!!! And it will if you keep using products like dyes on it.......

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

in all honesty, your hair in the pic doesn't look that bad. the first thing I noticed is that you need to get it cut...

you have a few options though:

1) go to a beauty supply store like Sally and ask the sales clerk for a product that will remove the color. you have too many chemicals in there.

2) go to drugstore and get 2 bottles of black color and do it up.

i dunno what you did but when you color your hair next time,

your hair should be DRY and not freshly washed. Not greaseball-like either, just not freshly washed. it'll take in your hair better.

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

honestly it looks good on you at least on the pic it does... you are more bold with the black hair i suggest you keep the black because it will take a while for it to wear off also striping your hair might do you a number since you have to do it yourself it may be better if you get a clear rinse by jazzing it's a product of carol or you might want to try a jet black one it's sold at any professional hair store for like 3.99 or so.. i don't know where your are from but there is a chain of stores by the name of sally's or maybe your neighborhood hair store may carry it anyway good luck girl.. and to me your working that black hair!

DARK HAIR HELP - ASAP (i will love you forever)?

You are such a beautiful girl, and the darker hair is very flattering... makes your blue eyes really stand out! Color remover might leave you with an orange tint, and bleaching your entire head could end up a big mess since you're hair is so long. I know you say you can't afford to go to a salon, but I think you'd be even more unhappy if you tried to fix it at home and something bad happened. The dark color will likely fade quickly, but in the meantime, try using a clarifying or deep-cleansing shampoo for a while. It might help strip the color a bit, just more gently. I don't think your hair looks like a wig at all!

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

My 4 year old daughter was playing and decided to paint her nail....and her hair, with my nailpolish .Now Im scared, i dont want to use nail polish remover on her hair because it might make her hair fall out or even color it blond or something, more or less sting her scalp, so how should i get it out ?

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Just wash it over and over, and scrub it good.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

I would not use nail polish remover either. Try alcohol it may work

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Your not going to like this but 95% Alochol will get it out but it will damage your hair.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Nail polish remover that is acetone free *might* not bleach out her hair.

If repeated washing with baby shampoo doesn't get it out, I'd try scissors.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Just use the nail polish remover, it's just hair. Either that or cut it out. As long as she doesn't drink the nail polish remover it's not going to harm her. You let her paint her nails at 4 years old, and you're concerned with toxic substances? It's on her nails too, or did you forget?

Nails and hair are made of the same substance, you can't say you don't want to use remover in her hair, if you've allowed her to go and paint her nails.

Additionally, you know that nail polish chips? Right? What if the paint starts peeling and she decides to eat it?

Nail polish used to come with a disclaimer on the bottle, not for use by children under 7 or something like that.

At 4 years old, when that paint starts peeling she's going to try to eat it.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

i used nail polish remover on my hair to get nail polish out, acetone at that, and it was fine for me... but im 17, i dont know about a 4 year old

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

First let it dry. Don't use nail polish remover. Like regular paint, it will eventually chip out, but if you can't wait that long, take a brush and gently brush it out. It will probably take some time, so don't try to do it all in one sitting or you'll make her hate you brushing her hair, or you could hurt her scalp temporarily by making it sensitive, that kind of thing. Beyond that, if you have to go out very soon and you need to hide it, try a pretty, well-placed bow.

Hope this helps,

Rebecca

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

how much polish? it is just hair and whatever you do it will grow back, you could let it alone, it will wash out with a few baths and brushings maybe or you could clip it out or you could be radical and clip it short. I would hesitate to use chemicals on a kid myself

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

its peanut butter time (or time to take a hot bath)

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Nail Polish remover, small amount though dont want to hurt your baby girl

use acetone, or expensive nail polish

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

No acually i think that nail polish remover is the best way to go. Im not sure if it colors your hair, so you have to be careful (I think you know that) You just use a very little amount, enough to get rid of the polish only where it is. use a tissue or something and just rub it where it is and no where else.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

i would leave it and just wash it .YOu maybe even call a hair dresser and they may help you out .

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

I think you may have a shot with some peanut butter.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

Nail polish remover won't change her hair color. Put some on a cotton ball and wrap it around the strands, slowly go down the strands. Repeat as needed. Use a good clarifying shampoo after it has been removed and then a light conditioner.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

nail polish remover

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

I would try nail polish remover...I can totally understand your hesitation, but what you could do is either try it on a small spot of her hair...or some hair that has already fallen out (e.g. from her hair brush).

If it doesn't work, it's possible that acetone might work...but you may have the same issues.

By the way, I don't think it will sting her scalp...that's just like the rest of the skin we have, so if it doesn't sting her hand/arm (which also has hair), it won't sting her scalp.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

tell her nice goin'. j/k! Have her get in the tub, but don't give her a bath. Have her stand and try to rinse out all the nail polish. It should work, though it will take alot of hot water!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about your daughter,

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

A repeated wash may do the trick. Or even though I know this works best with chewing gum but try putting ice ON THE HAIR and maybe it will break up and peel off.

How do you get nail polish out of your hair?

acetone will not hurt her just use a little on a cotton ball and follow with shampoo

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

First off here is a picture of me with my black hair, blonde hair and brown hair.

black: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/S...

blonde: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/S...

brown: http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b395/S...

First off, I would like your opinions whether they or harsh or nice on what your opinion is and by that I mean of the COLORS not the fact that I color my hair, save the preaching for elsewhere! Anywho, I was thinking of using ColorOops or Salon Care Color Remover on my hair...

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

The black isn't bad.. But I prefer you as a brunette over the other two... It looks more natural.. I would just leave your hair... Black isn't bad, plus you need to let your hair rest for awhile. (not preaching, I just had some color mishaps in the last couple weeks, I am a FREQUENT user of hair dye)..

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

personaly i really like ur blonde hair it makes ur face pop but if u like black it looks nice too. do what u think looks the best u dont need anyones approval except ur own

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

i really like the haircut it the 3rd but with black.

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

I REALLY REALLY like the first pic, color and style. Very cute!!!

Wanting to use a color corrector on my black hair, need opinions!?

I prefer the brunette. The blonde makes you look younger than I think you are. The black is not bad at all, it compliments your skin tone nicely and makes your eyes pop. I just think the brunette looks the nicest.

If you are going lighter from black, I would reccomend going to a salon to have it done. I messed up going from black to blonde rather badly once when I did it myself with ColorOops and it turned my hair a lovely shade of peach. :(

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

I have been dying my hair red for YEARS and I want to go back to my natural hair color. I have read all of the other answers about hair dye but it seems taht everyone wants to go from dark to light. My natural hair color is dark auburn brown and my coloured hair is a lighter coppery red-orange shade. If I use a remover, will my hair just get lighter or will it really go back to my natural darker color? And will it ruin my pretty curly texture? (I'm black with a mixed-race texture hair) And which kind should I use?

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

in order for you to understand this completely, i have to explain a few things first...

in order to make hair lighter, you have to remove pigment. so depending on how light you want to go will determine how much pigment you have to remove. you then have to ADD a COLOR depending on what you want the end result to be. After removing pigment to a level 6 (light brown/dark blonde), you're left with a red-orange color. now, depending on whether you love it, like it, or hate it, will then determine what tone you want to apply. if you love it, you choose a red-orange color to apply. if you like it, you choose a neutral color which will somewhat cover the redish tones but they will still show through a little. if you hate it, you have to apply a complimentary color (in this case, it would be a level 6 ash which has blue/grey tones). this will completely eliminate any red-orange tones. when you color your hair lighter with a regular color, it's doing both of these steps at the same time...lifting color out, and adding tone in.

now, if you were to apply a color remover, all its going to do is remove the color that was added, leaving you with the dominant pigment (at a level 6, remember that was red-orange). its not going to make your hair any darker, and it wont bring your natural color back. if you want to do this, you need to either let it grow out, or color it back to your natural. i would suggest going to a professional. also, a remover will definetly damage your hair, and the texture wont be the same.

again, i suggest going to a stylist, but the only thing you can do is dye it back to your natural. there is no way of removing your exsisting color completely.

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

there is a special laundry detergent that gets out hair die look on the web and you will find something about it

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

I would dye it the shade that is closest to your natural color. I would not strip the color out.

I want to remove my hair color but I'm afraid it'll just make it lighter. Should I try it?

Color remover makes your hair a bright orange, so that you can dye it a different color. I recently used Loreal Feria in a color that was close to my natural color, and it worked very well!

How do I get roots same colour of blonde as rest of hair - question fro Marg_Harborne?

Hi Marg,

Further to your answer the other day whereby you recommended me using a neutral blonde shade in level 9 of Goldwell Topchic and attached a hyperlink to EBAy for it (in 9N Very Light Blonde) and said I should mix it with 20 vol developer (peroxide) in a 50/50 mix for 20 mins and it would give me a nice blonde shade, should I use a hair colour remover before doing this? If so, I am having problems finding schwarzkopf igora phantom colour remover on the internet. Do you know where I can get it from? I live in England. Also, when you suggest 20 minutes for the mixing of the peroxide and goldwell topchic, is this 20mins to be left on my hair to develop, or 20 minutes to be mixed? Sorry if I sound stupid, I just want to make sure I get it right. Will very light blonde goldwell topchic with peroxide not come out too light? I currently have dyed golden blonde hair (dyed with a semi-permanent dye, but the roots look darker and I have naturally red hair).

How do I get roots same colour of blonde as rest of hair - question fro Marg_Harborne?

if you can shop on e-bay then get Goldwell colour remover as it is easier to get hold of than Schwarzkopf igora phantom (both are professional colour removers) here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLDWELL-colour-ti... when i say a 50/50 mix of colour and 20vol peroxide for 20 mins i mean apply to the hair all-over and once saturated then leave to process for 20 mins (in your case you don't need to do the roots seperately as YES the heat from your scalp does accelerate the lightening process at the roots but because your hair is darker at the roots then it will even it out to 20 mins for even all over colour) p.s. considering you previously used a lightening colour on your hair then you won't need to use a colour remover as colour removers are used on deposting colours (dark colours) anything that is intended as a lightener (blonde colour or bleach) strips out the natural colour and therefore CANNOT be removed as you cannot remove what has already been removed.

How do I get roots same colour of blonde as rest of hair - question fro Marg_Harborne?

use a decent hair dresser they work for a reason

How do I get roots same colour of blonde as rest of hair - question fro Marg_Harborne?

hair dressers never go right to the root and that really bugs me because you always get that dark bit! what i do is i use the home kits and put some of it at the very root of my hair and leave it for 10 mins or about a third of the time its allows and then cover the rest of your hair and leave until the times up. that works for me i hope it helps! :)

Upper lip issues?

Well I'm a teenager, and a few years ago i got sick of my upper lip hair and decided to shave it off. well that probably wasnt smart but it grew back almost the same, and for about a year i was just bleaching it. i didnt like it after a while so i just plucked it all off but the problem is that from the shaving there are dark little stubbles on it and theres no other hair but the stubbles which are pretty much wherever the hair was. i tried using sally hansen brush on hair remover but it's not close enough and the stubbles are still there. i tried plucking them but its not working. anyone have any idea how to fix it? im just sick of having these issues.

btw, my mom's not gonna let me wax it.

Upper lip issues?

i was gonna say wax it

cause thats the only

good way of getting rid of those hairs.

Upper lip issues?

I waxed it, but find i get weird little tiny spots, and dry skin. Use hair removing cream. it works best and gets rid of stubble.

Upper lip issues?

You may try sugaring it. It's similar to waxing, but it can be done with household items. People also say it hurts less and is more effective, but that's all rumor. Theres lots of different recipes for it out there.

Heres a link for a recipe and instructions:

Upper lip issues?

why are you doing that for that is real stupid

Dying black hair to red?

I dyed my hair black about 2 months ago, and now its fading to brown and i want to dye it red. But it isnt completly brown. Do you think if i use "color opps" (http://www.walgreens.com/dbimagecache/28... it will work? and is it safe to use that hair dye remover and then dye it right after?

Dying black hair to red?

I wouldn't

Dying black hair to red?

i don't think sooo

u will really damage your hair

i think u should leave your hair to go natural

let it recover then u can dye it red

=D :D :) =)

Dying black hair to red?

um dye it black then dye some strains red

Dying black hair to red?

you can't dye your hair again if it's only been 2 months ago. Need 6 months for color to grow out. U take the chance of breaking your hair and can completely dry your hair out. Condition it every time u wash it and give it time..

Dying black hair to red?

It's not very difficult to dye light hair dark, but coloring a brown to a red might be a "color oops". I think the best way to do it is get it done professionally.

Dying black hair to red?

IDK but i have natural red hair and when i tried to dye it black it turned purple. so good luck ! ~Bubbles58

Dying black hair to red?

You are going to have to strip the color out of your hair which more than likely is going to fry your hair. I would suggest asking a cosmotologists about this particular thing. Hope this helps!

Dying black hair to red?

Do you want to burn your scalp?

Wait at least a week.

Dying black hair to red?

I'd do this if I wanted a dramatic change in how others looked at me. I think this could be a grand opportunity, but it probably would depend on which shade of red. If it was a darker red, then go all out. But brighter are reds aren't all that great. :) Enjoy your new hair color!

Dying black hair to red?

it should work... dye it blonde %26amp; pour red koolaid on ur hair

Dying black hair to red?

Umm first since its brown try and get a red tint into it..u might not like that but u have too to go dark red, after awhile dye it a darker shade and keep going..or u could just do dark red on the brown..i'd get it done professionally otherwise ur hair could get damaged and messed up..a lot

Dying black hair to red?

proly not

Dying black hair to red?

mix about 1/3 hydrogen peroxide and 2/3 shampoo and it will fade your hair so that it will accepted color better.

Dying black hair to red?

I got red highlights over light brown hair and it held for about a month and then turned somewhat orange. I re-highlighted after a month and the red is more vibrant and should hold longer. It is really hardly to get red to stay in your hair and over black hair! Wow! That is going to be tough. I have never heard of color opps before but it sounds like you are going to fry your freakin hair off. I would just let the black grown out if i were you before i did anything. That was a huge mistake to begin with cause I hear black is terrible to cover up.

Dying black hair to red?

My mom is a cosmetologist and she usually dyes my hair with the stuff the pro's use and even then its hard to go from black to red. I could take the easy way and bleach it but that kills your hair like crazy.

I used to dye my hair all kinds of reds...and one time i decided to dye it black. after a while i wanted my hair red again and it took me at least 4 tries to get the red i wanted. It's also harder to dye your hair from a dark color to a lighter color. so good luck!

Dying black hair to red?

I said Go for it.... I like woman with Red hair. I don't know why? It turn me On........;-)

P.S. I hope It will work!!!!!
