Should I dye my hair blonde or bleach it?

My hair was a dark blonde (with a little orange or red), and I bleached it and it's kind of the color of hay now. I was trying to go back to the bleach blonde I had before I dyed it brown then used a hair color remover, but it didnt get as light as I wanted it and I left it in for an hour.

I'm going to do something to make it blonder, so should I buy a blonde color and dye it? Or should I bleach it again (for less time though)? Don't suggest going to get it done professionally because thats not an option.

(I have really strong hair by the way. I've dyed it so many times in the past 3 months and my hair still feels like I never even touched it, but I'm starting to notice a little bit of damage.)

Also, is dye less damaging than bleach?

And, whats a good deep conditioner to use thats not like a million dollars?

Ok,well,i was going to tell you to get it done professionally, because that's the ONLY way you can be sure of less damage and the perfect colour, but clearly thats not an option, so i'd suggest dying it. Bleaching is TERRIBLE for your hair. And even if you have the strongest hair ever, bleaching it once will cause total damage, and doing it repeatedly will make it frizz easier, make it thinner, limper with less shine and you'll get split ends SO much easy. Dying is good either, but much,much better than bleaching. My honest opinon is for you to keep your hair the natural colour, and if it is blonde(your natural colour) dye it blonde, and leave it at that. Also, hair dye usually comes with a deep conditioner, that works to prevent too much damage. I suggest Marc Anthony or Paul Mitchell conditioner, although Paul Mitchel can be very expensive. Salon Selectives, Drop dead Gorgeous Tresemme(or however you spell it) have good ones. Dove also works Amazingly well, if you use the shampoo and conditioners.

dye it blonde , bleaching frys your hair , don't do it , it's really not good for it , so i would suggest blonde dye

You should dye your hair blonde because bleaching does damage more than dye. Also you'll be more likely to get the results that you want.

I have been down that road....trying to achieve a specific blonde shade....if you use the lightest blonde shade you can find...like a lightest pale ash blonde, it will take your color "up" a little. There is not enough peroxide in dyes..to drastically pull the color out. First, go get the best hair conditioning pack, you can buy..go to a beauty supply store and ask them for the best one and while you are there, also ask a clerk who knows something about bleaching and blonding etc.....she should be able to tell you what to do...... I was going to tell you to ultra-condition your hair with a pack and then bleach it again to desired lightness and of course, re-condition....and use John Frieda's Blonde products to follow up daily care with...they are great.
