Will toner damage my hair.?

if i bleached my hair yesterday with a born blonde maxi hair bleach made for dark hair, and i want to use a toner tomorrow to get the orange and yelo out, will it damage my hair more??? andi know i need to do a deep protein treatment. but what is good to use. i heard honey???? (my hair was died black and i used a hair color remover kit, than bleached it, and now parts are bright yello, parts are an orangish color, and parts are a redish color, so will the toner make it a more platinum blonde, or should i bleach it again than tone it???) and what toner should i use. i am probably gonna go to sally's beauty supply. and please dont tell me i need to get it done or i am stupid for doing it, or anything like that. okay thank you

Get a toner with a blue-violet base. Clairol makes one...white beige and extra light platinum are both good for getting yellow orange out. Use like a 10 or 20 volume developer and only leave it on 20 minutes. Then you can use Clairol Shimmer Lights shampoo- it's purple and it actually deposits on your hair to tone out the gold. If your hair isn't toooo fried, you may want to bleach it again first, I don't recommend it, but you can if you want to be super blonde. Try the Loreal conditioner in the yellow tub...it will make your hair feel normal again.

Toner is just semi-permanent color, and no it shouldn't hurt your hair.

But, you won't get lighter color with a toner, you'll just get rid of the yellow/orange. You'll have to bleach to lift the color to a platinum blonde, IF it is even attainable at all (not everyone's hair will reach a level 11).

Just know you are destroying your hair, hon.

You really need to leave it alone for about two weeks, and they always have good deep conditioning treatments at the Sally Beauty counters. Of course, most of the toners you can buy will have to be mixed with a peroxide activator, which will further damage your hair. To wait it out, I would ask them to show you a rinse, which has no ammonia or peroxide. It only lasts about a week, but if you get one in a brown shade, your hair will look okay until it's healthy enough to do over again. Also, a toner probably wouldn't get it as light as you want, so you may want to use a high-lift blonde color instead of a toner or a bleach, one with an Ash base to cut the red. DO NOT do a color stripper, your hair will go orange. Please don't double process it in such a short time though.

FYI-- a toner does not have a developer in it, so it can only deposit color, not lighten. It works well after bleaching because the hair follicle is still open for several days afterwards, which allows it to deposit into the hair shaft.

I do not believe that it will help even out your color, however. I also do not recommend bleaching again, as it is very hard on your hair. Usually, it is easiest if you go from black to a brown color and work your way to blonde over time.

As for protein treatments, Redken makes a good one, but I believe that it can only be applied at a salon
