Hair color: dark brown to light brown?

i dyed my hair black about a year ago and now its a really faded dark brown color. if i use a hair color remover ,which will probably turn my hair a brassy orange color, and then buy a light brown dye will the color take?

Im pretty sure it will. But the light brown will go darker, as the color remover makes your hair more porous and receptive to dye. You also may have undertones of red and such.

Make sure all of the dye is completely out though. Even after you use the color remover, the dye is STILL THERE. Probably gonna have to take an hour shower. D:

just leave it dark brown. you really dont want to screw up the color of your hair it ttly isnt worth it.

The color should take..just be carefull when u are doing it..it could get real messy..lol...

It should. It may be a slightly different than the color on the box but should be close.
